The men of restaurant Eendracht (literally: Unity) take their business personally. They make some clear and uncommon choices, such as being open on Monday night, limiting themselves to one daily menu, putting the wood oven central in most of the cooking, using regional products, etc. Who sits down to eat here, finds himself in the kitchen of a willful, passionated and skilled chef. We liked it a lot! The cook showed a love of earthly flavors, short cooked meats and fish, and using vegetables, turnips and cabbage. Their Brussels sprouts deserve an award! We had some criticism, too. The cheese plate, for instance, we found a bit scanty for the average cheese addict. However these minor points were more than offset by the overall, positive experience. Not to be forgotten: a varied and original wine list with very reasonable prices and an interesting assortment of whiskey, brandies and other digestifs.
