It is one of the most famous places to visit in Rotterdam. If your are coming for the restaurant it is the place to recommend for sure. Parking’s in the surrounding are plenty. Building is surrounded by hypermodern skyscrapers. Contrast is very nice. Giving to Kop van Zuid excellent charm. Restaurant kept a spirit of old times, like a whole hotel anyway. Sea food is very good. Service is fast, professional and very kind. Restaurant is always very busy and reservations are to be recommended. It is one of our favorite places to go out. Restaurant is also not closing too soon and for people who wants to go out, stays open even until midnight or later.

When you travel on business so often it's great to get a hotel like the New York which has character and history and is obviously special. The highlights for me were the room which was split level with a view over the river from the bed. Colleagues had a range of different sizes and themes but all out of the ordinary. The bistro / restaurant was also a buzzing place at lunchtime obviously the place to be. In the evening we ate in the Toor across the river and the hotel's water taxis just added to the drama of the evening. All in all I would absolutely recommend the New York. None of my 20+ colleagues were disappointed and neither was I.

We recently stayed in Hotel NewYork (8-9 March 2 Nights) while visiting an exhibition (indoor tractor & truck pulling competition) in Ahoy arena.
The location is excellent as its only a short walk from the Metro Station as previously described by other trip advisers which makes its easy to see Rotterdam & other attractions while using Metro etc.
As we saw the reviews for this hotel on trip adviser I decided to make a booking and it was certainly worthwhile as its a fantastic hotel & one of the best I stayed in through my travelling career.
Rooms were excellent quality & clean, beds were very comfortable, ensuites etc were clean & good showers. Excellent view of the River Mass from our Room
Food, breakfast, main meals in the restaurant was fantastic with english language menu & a wide variety of dishes served untill late.
When returning to Rotterdam I would certainly stay in this hotel again.
Thank you Hotel New York for an enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Book a room overlooking the River Mass Its great to see the boats coming into the harbour.

Hotel New York is one of Holland's nicest and unique locations to sleep and eat. The hotel oozes the charm of the old terminal where ships used to sail for the promised land: United States. Stay in one of the rooms facing the Maas and take a watertaxi to the city. It doesn't get much better than this.
The restaurant feels like a naval Centre Pompidou on the inside. All the pipes and cabling are visible. The menu is fantastic - the seafoods scrumptious. The little shop inside the restaurant is adorable. What can I say? I can't wait to go there again!!

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the water, and the morning sun will shine through the blinds. The sounds on the...

One of the best hotel I have ever been to! So much charm, history, and fun. Our room was immaculate, very cool, great design, the bed was amazing, pillows also, we were in one of the courtyard rooms. Very good value. The whole hotel is decorated with genius, so stylish, and young.

The restaurant was wonderful, very big, different areas with different ambiances, excellent food also, and excellent service, fair prices.

LOVED IT.

The Hotel New York is a renovated original headquarters of the Holland America Lines. Which pre air service was the most comfortable way to ferry between Europe to New York. What inspires me about the renovation is the original feel. You can imagine the space as it once was. The hotel is comfortable and quaint. I found the service to be very good and on on par with a four star euopean hotel. The staff was attentive, rooms are clean, comfortable and quite cozy. If you can afford the extra cost, choos the romantic rooms in the clock towers. Another benefit of the Hotel New York is the adjasant lovely cafe, bar and restaurant. It's wonderful place to enjoy Dutch food, drink and camaraderie. Highly recommended for business, causal dining, family, friends. All aboard this historic hotel!

Lovely quirky hotel - we've known it for years - we always enjoy the seafood brasserie too. A good base for visiting the city, zipping around by water taxi and getting a sense of the history of the city.
