Stayed in this hotel at the weekend. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly. Location was excellent because it's right next to the shopping street and many restaurants. Bed was lovely and soft however the room was on the small side and the walls were quite grubby in need of some paint. As for the bathroom, I've seen bigger bathrooms on a train. Lucky for me I'm an athlete and could fit in the shower cabin but if you're any way bigger than a size 12 then forget about it ... there's no way you'd fit into it. I also missed the usual little bottles of creams and gels you'd normally get in a hotel but if you wanted them here, it was an extra 8 euro. Second time to be rather disappointed in a Hampshire Hotel.

The comments in the 3 reviews prior to mine are absolutely correct. This place is not great, it's only worth it if you can get a good deal or are short of money. There are much better hotels in Rotterdam.

With all that said, it is not as bad as other reviews would have you believe. Just read those 3 reviews and you will be given the experience I certainly had,

This was a very good hotel, good pressure on shower and friendly people at desk, what I didn't liked is I ordered a bed for two and they just put two single beds together.

Although I did read some very negative reviews of this hotel, I stayed here a few weeks ago, because of it''s very convenient location.
To my surprise there was absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel, actually it is nice, clean and the staff is really helpful and friendly.
The location is great, just a short walk from the centre, station and shipping quarter. The breakfast is excellent, the bar maybe somewhat impersonal, but the barman is great. Next door is a quaint little pub, also worth a visit. Maybe we were just lucky with our room, but I cannot find anything to complain about and will defenitely visit again.

We had a last minute change of plans and had to find somewhere to stay in Rotterdam - looking down a long list the Savoy stood out. I won't make that mistake again - the room had disgusting stains on the carpet and on the celling, the bathroom was falling apart and the room was not clean. The hotel may say that this was a one off but our friends room was exactly the same.
When we arrived there was a champagne bottle and 4 glasses dumped outside our door - it had not been cleaned away after a day later.
Reception did not really care and why would you place guests in a room that looked like Keith Moon had been staying in there for a month.
Horrible experience and would never return.

Great buffet breakfast and superfast wireless but only free in the common areas. 15 Euros charge for Internet in your room. No power plugs in the comfy lounge area for you to enjoy your free wireless which is a bit of a pain. Room 101 has the smallest shower in the history of mankind, not really but it was really too small.

Room Tip: Avoid room 101 unless all the rooms have super small showers. Also, TV did not have a remote and th...
