Nice mid-sized rooms, but not special in any way.

Terrific service when the TV in our original room didn't work.

A great value for a good Dutch hotel.

Very nice rooms with comfortable bed. The standard rooms are a little small but come very well furnished. Bathrooms have soaking tub and separate shower. Nice robe, coffee maker, big closet & flat screen with plenty of channels for everyone. Bellman & concierge are very polite and helpful. Breakfast buffet is excellent with equally excellent staff. Restaurants are a little expensive, but there are plenty of places to eat a few blocks away. Small Chinatown is 1 block from the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and I was here prior when it was the Westin. I had no complaints on my stay when it was a Westin although I was a corporate guest in the hotel in a suite. However, when staying as a leisure guest, and coming from across Europe after staying in other lovely hotels, this one is a bit disappointing. Upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade to our executive room, to a slightly larger executive room for only 90 euro a day. Not a good start. The room was clean, bright, no bad smells...however the sink countertop had the appearance of being dirty. Gee, replace the countertop! It looked a bit disgusting. Then, it was my assumption based on their web site that there were areas of internet connectivity complimentary to guests. There was a note that connectivity in the business center constituted a charge but the same was not noted when referring to guest rooms, other public areas, or the executive lounge. I am not thrilled using public computers, as one was provided in the executive lounge, and wanted to be able to use my own computer. Well, per front desk, it was 22 euro per day. I informed that I was not a business traveler and could it be included in our room and the answer was no. I inquired with another hotel employee as to alternatives to the 22 euro fee for internet and he stated there was free internet in executive lounge and lobby downstairs. I tried to connect but no, not free, same pay page for the hotel. We also received a note under the door after first night that according to our hotel bill, that we would like other hotel services, please leave our credit card at the front desk. The hotel makes you feel like you are a sponge, and they are going to get every "drop" out of you. Concerned they may charge a service fee each time you open the minibar, lol. Doesn't make for a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Great hotel on an expense account

We had a special rate on a holiday, otherwise the normal rate is expensive. So, for a reduced rate, the value was good. All you can expect from a 5 star hotel; comforatable bed, clean facilities, etc....
Breakfast was delicious; it should have been, since it was around 27 euros per person!
The veiw from the hotel wasn't very nice; Rotterdam around the train station.

Really friendly service at this hotel and very comfortable. All mod cons from what I remember. Beds large and extremely comfortable, and it's worth investing in the breakfast because the choice was fabulous. I had an executive room so benefitted from complimentary beverages and snacks during my stay. A nice 5 star hotel just near the central station.

I stayed at the Manhattan due to a music conference I as in town for. My wallet had gotten stolen at the main train station so thankfully everything was paid for prior! Once I presented the front desk with my police report it was smooth sailing.

Very well maintained hotel. Staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered room service quite a bit and the food was simply divine! Rooms are well decorated as well including high end fixtures. Nice bar to have meetings at on the 2nd level as well as on the main floor. Foyer is huge & very pretty.

Highly recommened. Just watch your purse when you get off the plane!!!

Room Tip: All rooms come with posh robe and sleepers!!

This is my second stay at this hotel...before it was labeled the Westin. This is a true 5-star hotel. Services and amenities are great. Location is great and the staff excellent. The number of pillows on the bed added a to a wonderful night of rest. My husband and I slept like babies. The only downside is the bathroom lighting. The lighting over the vanity wasn't sufficient for applying makeup. I over did it :o).
