“Parking made difficult”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Nice suburb (2 streets around a canal) but no way to park although there was plenty of parking spots. Weekdays until 18h, you have to pay for parking in the streets (like in most of Netherlands). However in Rotterdam, you cannot pay by cash nor by Visa/Mastercard. You used to pay with parking cards. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THEY DON'T SELL THEM ANYMORE. You now have to pay with you phone when you have a bank account in Netherlands! Not tourist friendly at all. No warning from the tourist office either. The 3 ALTERNATIVES are public parking (building - Not availale in Delfshaven), taking the risk to have a fine or going there at night/on sundays.

“Go for a drink if you are nearby”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Tried to give Rotterdam a good look and see all of it. Rotterdam is a great place but Delfshaven is nothing like nearby Delft. So unless you have lots of time I think you are better off seeing other parts of the city.

“A town with plenty of atmosphere and interesting museums”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

If you like Vermeer's paintings and love historical places then you must visit this town. The atmosphere is wonderful and the museums are excellent, especially those relating to the artist and porcelain industry. You will need two days to complete a thorough visit.

“Surprise,surprise!”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

Fabulous place to wander on a sunny Saturday or Sunday.
This is up-and-coming posh and fashionable place to live.
Real surprise are the brewery, which is still operational, however,I can not guarantee, that bier is exactly the same as at Pilgrim time and an information in the hidden corner, that voyage of Pilgrim Fathers has,in fact, started from Delftshaven and was renamed as Mayflower trip due to better British, than Dutch Public Relations efforts.
Very nice and friendly place to visit, but allow ample time to enjoy and taste the atmosphere
