We stopped here with family after doing some shopping and couldn't have picked a better spot! It was late July and the weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the views of the water and Rotterdam. After having a glass of wine, we decidex to stay for dinner, the waiter came over and asked if we wanted beef or seafood and having six of us, half did beef and half did the seafood. First we were brought some loaves of what was the most amazing bread we've ever had, fresh warm, garlicy and cheesy. I noticed that at another table, that when they were fknished with their bread, the owner's wife gave it to the little boy to toss out for the seagulls, the little boy was so happy, it was very sweet. I think we must have had 4 big loaves! Then a little bit later they brought tapas to the table, great with that bread, there were several different types, along with tomatoes and eggplant, vegetable salsa, cucumber and such. A little while later our main course arrived, I had the beef, it was so beautifully presented, ln a bed of seasoned rice wkth a fried banana slice and vegetables. It was melt in your mouth delicious! After the main meal they brought us two quarter watermelons , tjey were presented in tact but sliced so they could be easily pulled apart. The perfect dessert after a savoury meal, sweet, yet cleansing to the palate. A tasty cup of coffee finished off our meal. There is something to be said about the way people in Europe take the time to enjoy a meal at a leisurely pace. We were there for four hours and it was a truly enjoyable experience. If you're in the area, check it out. One of the best meals we had on our 3 week long tripto Europe!
