This brand new railway station is really worth the visit. It's a pleasant spacious station with a nice entrance hall which can facilitate festivities and performances like was the case last week with the grand opening of this new central station. The building of the entrance hall on the southern side is impressive. The roof of stainless steel reflects the sun and the wood on the inside and reddish stones give it a warm atmosphere. On the inside a big LED-screen features footage of the Rotterdam harbour.
The StationsHuiskamer offers a nice view on the central hall while enjoying a coffee or a panini. The "stationsplein" (station's square) has become a very nice square with trees and gras. A very nice spot to enjoy the sun and watch te building.
