I went here for a meal with my daughters in summer. We were able to sit outside in the garden under large old trees. We had the surprise menu which was really good. Service was very good, and the atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had a great time and I would like to return with my husband too!

Went in 5 minutes past their opening on a monday afternoon. The place was completely empty, but none the less charming. Felt a little underdressed, but very professional waiter. Only ordered a main, as I was meeting friends for a late supper. They provided wonderful apetizers and a lovely glass of red wine. Highly recommended.

We are so glad to find this place. Two years ago when we visited Rotterdam we saw this restaurant only from outside (it's only open for dinner), were impressed already by how it looks like - the cozy interior and a bit view to the garden at the backyard - and we thought, we have to come here for dinner one day! And indeed it is a great restaurant... I especially like the creativity of the chef - Fench cuisine with fine taste in combining the ingredients. My husband had grilled plaice wrapped in asian rice paper with asparagus as starter, then fillet of lambs leg with incredibleb tasty sauce and poached egg (he hated poacebd egg but surprised by its fine tase with the lamb). I had scallops in truffle soup with truffle potato chip - such a fantastic appetizer, for main course I choose catch of the day - turbot with tarragon sauce (the sauce is so yummy you'd wish you could drink it) and mashed potato with algae. Excellence! Also the wines are fantastic, a bit expensive but really really good selection of wines.
We sat at the garden, though its's an ellegant restaurant but you could just come with jeans - nevertheless the waitress were really proffesional yet friendly. We will definetely come again next time when we visit Rotterdam again!

The restaurant was rather empty the night we went, but the menu seemed appealing. We settled for the 3 course surprise menu. Very good explanations of the staff, every dish was a great surprise. Subtle flavors in all of them. The 3 course meal was enough, although if you like cheese getting the 4 course menu would be advisable. A very good surprise in Rotterdam. It must be even nicer in the winter with the fireplace. Also probably good for large groups of gourmet people, there are 2 floors and large tables.

Our party of 4 went for the 3 course suprise menu (also available in 4 and 5 courses) on a saturday eveing (no reservation). We didn't know what the dishes would be, but could set some boundries and preferences at the start. So we asked for an all fish menu, whitch was no problem at all for the chef.

what we ate:
Amuse: soup with coconut cream, lemongrass, northsea shrips
starter: grilled sea bass, pumpkin, parmesan mousse, green aspargus
main course: skrei with herb crumble, gnocci, mushroom
dessert: sabbayon, starwberries, vanilla icecream, almond
drinks: bottle of chardonnay, coffee aterwards

All 3 dishes were of very high quality. very refined dining, you can clearly see the kitchen knows what it's doing. Carefully selected flavours in each dish. Small, medium sized portions as you would expect from this quality of food. and all of this in a really layed back environment, with a nice open fire buring in the back.

Can recommend this to everyone looking for an 'above average' dinner, in the city of Rotterdam. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food we received.
