“Great location”
Reviewed 12 February 2014

Great location: I did the walking approach, but the best is to hire a bike. Attractions like the seaside (50 minutes on foot), Madurodam (30 minutes on foot), Grote Kerk/The old city center (20 min. on foot), Leuwman car collection museum (1 h of walk), Business district (30 min. of walk), shops/beauty parlors nearby.

Hotel: modern design hotel, clean, but small rooms and bathrooms (I suppose space is a problem everywhere in Holland). Tasty breakfast and great coffe. The staff is ok. Hobos in the back parking area of the hotel, but they mind their own business.

This is a modern eco budget hotel with biological breakfast and rental bikes: all good. We suggest the "Court Garden Hotel":
- to make a court garden: there is a court but no garden..
- to market the eco hotel on the hotel bikes,
- to change the smoke area in the court to the back of the court (not in front of a hotel room).

P.S. The windows in our familyroom couldn't open. There is a mechanical airsystem.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review and for sharing your thoughts!
It would be lovely to have a real garden on our court, but unfortunately this would result in less parking places.
Court Garden is actually a literal translation of "Gerechtshof", the Peace Palace which is located at 200 meters from our hotel.

Thank you for your stay and all our best wishes for the New Year!

Kind regards,

Karel Vandenberghe

I recently stayed there to attend a conference. The experience could not have been better. Hotel is clean and nice, but the hotel staff makes all the difference: Always going the extra mile to help and make things easier.

It's easily accessible by tram, and walking downtown takes only about 15 minutes. The hotel also offers bike rentals, which is a great way to get around (that way, you can be in the city center in about 5 minutes).

The breakfast is generous, with cheese (of course...), ham, eggs, breads, cereals, juice, coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit and veggies. They also have a self-service coffee machine downstairs, which is great to keep you warm when you get in.

Room Tip: The view from the top floor is great!

Very modern hotel situated about a 20 minute walk from centre of den Haag. There is a secure car park in the rear courtyard. We had a family room which was reasonably spacious and functional. Lovely shower and very clean. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I really liked the free unlimited coffee/chocolate/water in the foyer which could be drunk in the lobby area where there are seats or taken back to the room. Breakfast was typical Dutch with a nice selection of breads and cereals. We used the hotel as it is less than an hour to the hoek van holland and will use again if visiting den Haag

My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend and very much liked the hotel. While bedrooms are quite small, they have everything you need and they are clean and modern. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You can enjoy good and free coffee or tea all day, wifi and rent bikes. The hotel is very well located between the center and the beach, is close to a tram station and a supermarket.

I stayed here for six nights and had no problems. The room was a bit small but fine for one person. There's unlimited free wifi all over the hotel and the reception staff are really friendly and helpful. There's also a free tea and coffee bar in the lobby which is nice. I chose not to have breakfast at the hotel because it costs €12.50 per person which is quite expensive for a continental breakfast! Easy to get to the centre by foot but there isn't much public transport nearby. I booked a taxi to the airport through the hotel and it was on time and a fixed price so that was all good too.

"Eco" all over the walls, everything in green, just in case someone didn't notice. It would be much more eco if the rooms were a little bigger (my single was practically a wardrobe with bathroom) and if you could open the window (mine, when opened, opened to another one that was sealed tight). And the "organic" breakfast was a little on the bland side (isn't organic food supposed to be tastier?). But apart from that, a good hotel if the green blah blah doesn't get on your nerves.
