The whole purpose of this museum (if one could call it that) is one big mystery. Never have I experienced such a nonsensical collection. The overall presentation just doesn't work. Purely a waste of time.

We loved it. My wife and I found that the displays were good for botk kids and adults. The museum had plenty of hidden nooks and crannies for explore with plenty of hands on activities. My 6 year old found it a bit too advanced though.

The scavenger hunt multiple choice screens throughout were great.

As an international living in Den Haag, I have always found it such a treat that I have an amazing museum close to where I live that showcases amazing expositions on science, history, culture.

The Museon always has a school year-round interactive exhibit and lately, the different museum stations now have english and french translations, in addition to Dutch. My family has seen the ones on Knowledge, on Ships, and most recently the Roman Inventions. You are bound to be fascinated by the things you learn!

I find this place a much easier museum to explore than the Nemo in Amsterdam for instance.

The permanent exhibit on the second floor has some rock and mineral collection, some models of the different natural processes and some on flora and fauna. I never would tire of appreciating having a museum as nice this so near to the place where I live.

If you wish to be a frequent visitor, did you know that you can avail of an annual Friends of Museon pass for around 20 Euros? The pass admits two adults while a lesser priced annual pass (around 14 Euros (?)) admits two kids. The kids' membership card also comes with 4 passes to the Museon's Atelier where kids can do arts and crafts on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. The Museon pass also, I have learned from my Mum - who fondly borrows our membership cards - also gives 25% discount for any of the films featured in the Museon.

Enjoy!

This museum shows various collections in the field of e.g. science, history and geography; about everything that is connected to human beings. The way of exposing is very lively with a lot of interactive plays. This makes it fun for children as well. As a result of this it might be a bit too busy, especially at the Roman exhibition that was going on at that time.

great for kids. although it is not a big place we've spent there three hours and the kids begged for more.
it is very suitable for kids who are curious in general and enjoy science.
the current temporarly exhibition - high tech in the roman time is especially good and intersting. if you're going to maduradam and want to fill in the second half of the day - or on a rainy day this is the perfect museum to go to
