Lovely hotel, especially rooms on very top floor. Friendly staff and good location - walking distance to town.

I stayed at the Hotel Sebel in the Hague last month for 5 days. The service is good and staff very friendly. While the reception is open between 7am to 11pm, all guests are provided keys to the main entrance so that you can enter at all times. Rooms are comfortable, nothing very fancy but adequate with clean linen, basic toiletties and an adequate breakfast. It is connected to the centre through tram lines. Though it does not serve lunch or dinner, but there are many restaurants and snack joints nearby. For the price, it is an excellent choice. Like all other Ducth hotels in this price range, some of the rooms are small but that is soemthing you have to get used to in the Netherlands specially on a limited budget. Recommended for business travellers but they do have larger rooms at higher prices.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are better as you avoid the steep stairs that are common in the Netherlands.

Hotel Sebel is a small group of buildings linked together. If you require an elevator, you must specify that since only one building and only some rooms in that building have elevator access. Being on a budget, I selected the Single room, even after reading about it on Trip Advisor. IT IS SMALL. You can almost touch both walls if you extend your arms. It was clean and well laid out. The internet access was excellent. It was a great value for one person on a tight budget.

Due to unexpected circumstances, I ended up staying an extra night in a different room. It was HUGE compared to the small single. I did not try the breakfast since it was rather expensive.

One of my days there I was ill, and the owner was so helpful in getting me a tea kettle and checking to see if I needed anything else. The family is very caring and concerned about their guests. I highly recommend this hotel. It is an excellent value in a great location.

Room Tip: check their rates on several internet sites

Very good hotel, in walking distance from the main landmarks, 3 minutes walk from the Peace Palace. I had a room called "small single room", but it was just enough for me personally, and I believe that rest single rooms are bigger. There are separate entrances for 3 blocks of rooms. Breakfast is good enough. There is free wi-fi. Personnel is very helpful. They also provide you with 15% discount for nearby Greek restaurant

Clean, comfortable, helpful young staff, large well-ventilated rooms. Next to a tram line and small shops for snacks and notions. Fast, free internet, large bathrooms, nice breakfast facility. On street parking next to hotel was no problem in April, and was free from 11pm to 9 am. As value-for-money, this is simply tops. 25 min drive from Keukenhof Gardens and Delft Factory, and 45 minutes from downtown Amsterdam, this is a fine place to stay to see the Netherlands. The Hague is a beautiful city, with seashore, parks and gardens, and many fine restaurants, and a very great contrast to the urban bustle of Amsterdam.

We stayed for a total of six nights at Hotel Sebel, and we couldn't have had a better experience. The hotel is in a quiet section of The Hague, and right across the street from a lovely small round park which in one section has several benches and chairs for sitting in the sun. It is also possible to order hors d'œuvres and drinks there in the afternoon, if you are so inclined. A tram track runs right by the hotel to take you wherever you want to go.
The accomodations are not "a la Marriott", but they are very pleasant, very clean, and very sufficient. (If climbing stairs is a problem, discuss this with the hotel first.)
The staff is exceptional. They were always helpful, and always treated us with friendly concern. I have found that hotel staff often mirror the values of the owners/managers; so I give kudos to the owners as well as to the staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for two nights and I have mostly positive things to say. The room is big, service is excellent with firendly and helpful staff.

Only negative thing to say is the distance from the hotel to the city center which takes around 20 min by walk.
