“Hotel 108 Meerdervoort”
Reviewed 9 February 2013

This hotel is in the residential area of the Hague 30 min walking to the centre. Though tea/coffee facilities were available, tea/coffee was not replenished daily, only once during my ten day stay at the hotel. The breakfast was very basic and the food served was not diverse as well. It was very noisy at the hotel, especially when the doors of other rooms would close, the noise was heard throughout the whole floor. It would not hurt if the rooms are cleaned better, especially curtains need to be washed, as they are almost grey of dust. The hotel pre-authorized my bank card for the total amount of the stay and then again charged the card for the same amount, so that at the end of the day double the amount was clocked on my card.

We booked this hotel trough a travel agency in our home country and we got a great price. Then, once we were in the hotel, we extend our stay a few more nights, and the price was higher, but well, it happens, the rack rate is usually higher. So, if you look around in agencies, you can get to stay in this beatiful hotel for a great price.
The location is quite good, not in the city centre, but you can be there in a few minutes if you take the tram just around the corner. We didn´t find many options for dinner near the hotel, perhaps the only drawback about the area (there was a nice italian restaurant, but it´s a little expensive).
Our room was spacious, the bed was huge, everything worked fine, except for the safe box, wich we couldn´t figure out (neither the staff). Luckly, we didn´t needed it that much. The breakfast was great, the staff was friendly and there was a bar also, wich we didn´t try. Actually, we wanted to give it a try once, grab something fast to eat (since we read in some brochure that they have some snacks), but they only serve drinks.
Overall a really nice hotel.

Very clean, staff all spoke English, a safe in the room very handy. Tea/coffee facilities in room good and replenished daily. Bed comfy. Breakfast good. Great location with tram stop just around the corner, about 20 mins to Den Haag Centraal station.

Spent two nights at the Hampshire hotel. Must say that I underestimated the distances in The Hague - if you have business meetings in the south of the city, it can take 20 mins or more to reach these places by taxi. But the hotel location is OK otherwise, several restaurants and shops close by. Had a room on the top floor, the view to the cathedral and the rest of the city was very nice. Drawback, the elevator only goes to the fourth floor, but no problem for me (but I did hear some elevator noise, with the machine being close by). Staff was very friendly and professional, breakfast OK albeit not abundant. Water pressure in the shower a bit low.

Room Tip: See comments above.

The stuff was kind, the breakfast was delicious,
to say is that the aditional blankets are sometimes not available if the hotel is book out.

But it was a good place to be with good wireless lan in the room.

This is a friendly, clean hotel. On a main Rd ( ask for a rear room though) Angelique is a star member of staff ! Near a tramline, and the breakfast is reasonably varied. Great service, I'll revisit !

Room Tip: Rear rooms as main Rd is a little noisy

I stayed here for three nights on another business trip to The Hague. It was a fairly late booking and my usual hotel was charging silly prices. This one was 93 euros including breakfast which was reasonable.

It is a pleasant enough older style hotel: clean and large room with comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The free wifi worked very well and the staff were friendly. The breakfast choice was what you would expect for this medium range hotel, with standard hot and cold choices. It is easy to get to from the station or the centre on the (frequent) number 17 tram and there are a couple of nice restaurants nearby.

Beware that the icons on the website showing the room facilities are a bit misleading. I was expecting both air-con and a minibar/fridge. My room had neither! If you hover a mouse over the two offending icons you see that they apply only to the Royal Suite. Like an earlier reviewer I found the shower temperature varied too much for comfortable showering.

The pros outweighed the cons and I would sty here again on a business trip.

Room Tip: There is a road at the front but it did not bother me.
