We had a really nice modern room on the ground floor front, and it was quiet despite the tram running a short distance away.....this was handy as we arrived by tram from Haag station and it stops about 50m from the B&B. Use this place if you enjoy a short walk to the beach but far enough away from the bustle of the sea front. Continental breakfast was served downstairs which may not suit everyone...they are a little steep. Would we go back....yes we would.

I recently stayed here for two nights and was very pleased with my choice. It is an apartment hotel, so it doesn't have full 24-hour hotel facilities, but the room was of a high standard: spotlessly clean, safe, quiet, sunny and high-ceilinged and it suited me very well. There was a desk and a high-quality big TV and DVD player.
It is less than 100m from the tram stop, and it takes about 10 minutes to get into the city centre. There is a nice local neighbourhood very close by, with bars and restaurants, that also had a street market on the Thursday when I was there. The beach is 5-10 minutes walk away, and there is a park nearby, so it is in a good location.
Breakfast is simple, but fresh, and the stairs down to the breakfast room are very narrow.
I would happily return there.

I had a short 2 night business stay at Hotel Plato last month. It is beautifully located and wonderfully comfortable and luxurious. Entire property is very clean and maintained. Rooms very well designed according to the needs of travelers and had a TV and small kitchen, which we never used. Staff was very courteous and attentive. Room service was prompt and food was good. I would not hesitate in recommending this place to all my friends and family members.

Hotel Plato is a small hotel. The room are good and clean. The breakfast is ok, not too much, but good enough. Personal is friendly.
Problem is parking. There is not much space for that, or walk 5 minutes and you can park free.

Hotel is small, but nice. The rooms are in very good shape and well furnished. Very clean. Some stairs are steep and might be a problem for handicaped or older guests, but no isssue for the average Joe.
Check in was very slow and locals seem to be granted some preference. Little flexibility with late check out and no flexibility with leaving your car on the hotel parking spot after check out time. Breakfest is above average continetal style. Parking is possible on the street within 3-5 minutes walking distance. Overall the hotel can be recommended. It is quite at night. While you are close to public transportation to the city you can easliy walk to the beach without having any party noise at night.

Very nice place to stay. Although I wouldnt call it a hotel as there is no Bar. We stayed down stairs in a very nice room. It was large and had a small kitchen (which we didnt use) It is close to a small town and about a 15 minute walk to the Seaside. I think it is better to stay in this area instead of The Hague itself. It is roughly 20 minutes by Tram from the centre of The Hague and the stop is almost opposite the Hotel.

Room Tip: To access our room we had to use a very steep and narrow staircase.

I lived in the front first floor apartment in the Hotel Plato for an entire summer several years back. It was very pleasant, very convenient, and the people working there are so nice. I really cannot recommend this property enough. First, the rooms are lovely--with comfortable beds, television, a sitting area and a fully equipped kitchen. Also, my room had a terrace which made for very peaceful breakfasts each morning. Second, it is a great location -- particularly (I found) if you are working or taking classes in The Hague. The hotel is very close to public transportation, so it is an easy commute; however, it is far enough away from the working area of the city that it seems more peaceful. It is also great because it is very close to the beach, grocery shopping, restaurants, non-grocery shopping and entertainment. Third, and maybe most important, the owners and employees are extremely nice and accommodating. They helped me so much while I was there. And, I felt that they were watching out for me--which was particularly nice given that I knew almost no one when I first arrived. As a nice addition, they were able to provide rooms for my friends and family when they came to visit.

Room Tip: The front rooms have terraces--the first floor has a ground level terrace and the upper floor has a...
