“Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in Antwerp”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

"plus" (+):
- cute and cosy
- authentic interior
- exquisite pastas (as mentioned by other reviewers: "authentic")
- speedy service, but a little bit sloppy
- nice environment (Dageraadplaats)
- good price / quality
- open kitchen (nice view)

"minus" (-):
- tables are too close to each other, so you enjoy practically the food of your neighbour
- too few toilets
- sloppy service (we had to ask for bread, neighbour had to ask for spoon...)

“Authentic pasta dishes”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

Located on one the bustling squares of Antwerp, Dageraadplaats, Primo is serves up some lovely authentic anti-pasta and pasta dishes. There are some meat or fish dishes, but really you should try the pasta. Although the wine list is limited it has some delightful choices.
When eating with children, some of the pasta dishes come in smaller portions (and up to 3 years old the get a free plate of pasta). When the kids get bored sitting down in the restaurant, they can have a play in the playground right opposite the restaurant.

“Good Italian eating”
Reviewed 15 May 2013

Definitely an attractive restaurant. Completely full on a weekday is a sign of quality. The waiter was busy but attentive and explained the dishes of the day in a very good manner. The food was basic Italian, tasty but without the wow-factor. Still recommendable. The wine selection was limited and we missed a good Barolo! All in all, absolute value for money. We shall be back.

“Cute Italian bistro”
Reviewed 16 March 2013 via mobile

Very cosy Italian bistro with excellent quality food, also good for kids. Real authentic Italian food with open kitchen. Food arrived very quickly yet had to wait a while for the dessert

“Good food, good service”
Reviewed 16 February 2013 via mobile

Visited this restaurant on our first night in Antwerp. It was the only one that was open before 6pm, which was a pleasant surprise. The interior was nicely decorated and the staff friendly. Unfortunately we could not read the menu, as it was not in English, but the staff were happy to translate for us. The food was lovely, especially our dessert. We would definitely return.
