Antwerp For Two
Ranked #7 of 110 Antwerp B&B and Inns
Reviewed 17 December 2013

We stayed in the top room and really enjoyed the tranquillity of the B&B. Even though you are in the middle of Antwerp and not that far from the red light district, you are able to sleep because you will not hear any noise. The owner really take good care of their guests which shows in the personalized breakfast and their aveda toiletries.

A recommendation!

We stayed in A2 for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute. The B&B combines hospitality and privacy. Each room is a studio apartment with its own entrance from the courtyard and breakfast is discretely left outside your door at the time you want in the morning, The hosts, Martine and Yves, are on hand to answer any questions about Antwerp. They have a definite sense of style evident from the clean lines of the apartment, the quality linen, the Nespresso machine and the beautifully presented breakfast, The location is great, within a few minutes of the old part of the city and just around the corner from Red & Blue. There was some noise from the bar in the square outside but it didn't bother us. When we got back from our shopping on Saturday, 2 bottles of lovely Belgian beer awaited us;:-)

One tip - the place is small and the street outside pedestrianised. We got a taxi from the station but the taxi driver didn't have much of a clue where to bring us: we would have been just as quick getting a 10 or 11 tram.

Martine and Yves have created a very well designed little B&B. It is in a good location, with a tram stop next door, and close to many of the city's main tourist attractions. The neighborhood feels safe and you are given a good overview of where to eat etc on arrival (we ate well at 'De 7 Schalken' and 'Chez Fred'). The room is simple but comfortable. Breakfast is a high quality picnic affair, with extra stuff in the fridge. Beer on 2nd night was a welcome extra. Good all round.

We stayed here in August and couldn't believe the attention to detail, hospitality, cleanliness and great design of this guest-house.It was like having your own studio apartment in the city but with added advantages - the breakfasts were delicious and varied, and we loved our complimentary 'Trip Trap' ( a lethal combination of two Trappist beers!) I have never bothered to write review before but just wanted to say a big thank you to Martine and Yves for a wonderful stay.

We stayed there as a couple in February and we couldn't fault anything! From the room to the service to the location .... Everything was perfect! The host were very welcoming and explained us everything about the city , they even accepter to iron my boyfriend shirt and my top before we went to have diner! The cutest was the breakfast served in little baskets and in personalised bags! They served every day different things and care about dietary requirement , I loves the little quail eggs and the cherry tomatoes tasted extraordinary!
We had some fresh little flowers picked on the day in the room and been even offered champagnes and beers ! Incredible ! This is going the extra mile in term of service ! Will definitely come back !!!
Thanks for making our stay so special !

This was my 2nd or 3rd stay and you are always welcomed with the question if you like to have a Trappist. Feel really welcome, excellent breakfast, with fresh juice, tomato's is being delivered outside the appartement under an umbrella when it snows (like yesterday) or rains.

The B&B is on walking distance of the "Grootte Markt", with parking on the "Kaai" 5 - 10 minutes walk and city tram stop at 500 meters

Room Tip: All three are nice, but top floor has a higher ceiling

I visited Anvers last spring and I discovered and appreciated the city little by little. The A2 was a nice surprise, a very cosy and relaxing place. I stayed in the room on the first floor, with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom. The breakfast is a nice moment: the owners (discreets and helpful) leave out of your door a basket full of fresh, delicious and generous food. You can even take a bike to visit the city, which is lovely: I suggest to turn right when leaving the b&b because the neighborhood is peculiar. And for a good lunch try the little colorful place just round the corner (I can't remember the name, but it's the one with colorful chairs and big windows).
