Really liked this hotel, all the normal stuff you would expect from a big hotel chain ( efficient front desk, clean, facilities in the room) but what makes this hotel different is the individual look in the rooms with the artwork on the walls which gives it a boutique feel which is impressive for a large hotel.
We stayed for a couple of nights and would highly recommend this hotel to others, but only if you are prepared to walk 10 minutes into the heart of Antwerp.

Room Tip: Look out the rooms with the artwork on the walls

What an amazing hotel !! A luxury experience for a low budget ! Everything was really impressive, big and comfortable with a modern decoration room (like the rest of the hotel) with a big comfortable bed and fresh soft linens, the bathroom was big and clean as well. FREE mini bar which was being restocking every single day, new bathroom products and fresh towels every day too (the housekeeping was doing a really nice work 4 or even 5 star worthy), free coffee machine at the lobby with a variety of coffees, tea and chocolate milk. Really close to Antwerp central station, 10 -15mins walking, 5 minutes or less by bus (bus stop right outside of the hotel). there's also a big supermarket and a bank nearby. The staff was so friendly and helpful at all times. Free wifi in all areas of course.

Room Tip: the front rooms might be a little noisy because of the street

We stayed at this hotel for four days on a city trip to Antwerp. We were able to check-in early, which was a plus. The room was modern and of reasonable size with a small but modern bathroom. We did not like showering in the bathtub that much. The location is close to one of the nicest squares in Antwerp: de Dageraadsplaats. Here you find many nice restaurants/bars and it is also a nice place to have breakfast. It is a 20 minute walk to the centre but there is a tram near the hotel that can also bring you there, you can buy a ticket for 10 trips at supermarket Delhaize next to the hotel. Overall, a good value for money hotel with a bit of a design touch to it.

This hotel is close enough to city center and has nice market only a block away. I really liked the unique look of having a larger than life portrait filling the room and other modern look. It is black but that is not an issue. Service good, shower nice, bed comfortable. You hear plumbing but no other sounds between rooms.

Room Tip: Easy walk from train station

Top Points:-
 (-) Don’t come in a car.
 (-) Don’t expect to eat (anywhere!) after 21:00
 (-) Bring your earplugs

 (+) Late bar in the hotel
 (+) Good breakfast selection

Before I start I should make it clear this hotel is relatively cheap so maybe our experience should not have been a surprise. A colleague and I stayed here for one night, midweek in November.

Following a long drive we arrived at 22:15 and struggled to find anywhere to park and ended up parking illegally. We checked in, to find the hotel’s parking was full and that no food is available at the hotel at that time of night. We were advised there are no nearby restaurants; the nearest restaurants being ten minutes walk away, near the station.

Thinking that was not too bad we took the car, only to end up circling around unable to park again and coming back to the hotel and parking in a bus stop! (The buses having stopped running). We then walked back to the station area to find almost all the bars and restaurants there, were also closed, even McDonalds. The only places still open being rather dubious looking “girly clubs”. After walking around for 20mins we stumbled on an Italian Bistro shutting up for the night, but agreed to serve us. So we eat with the staff stacking chairs and hovering around waiting for us to finish and walked back to the hotel.

A plus however was the hotel bar was still open, so we had a nightcap before retiring.

The hotel, including the rooms, is done out in what one might describe as “On-the-cheap-trendy” but looked a little worn. The rooms are clean and have international TV, but the heater/air-con was noisy and there was a lot of traffic noise. (Fortunately I always travel with earplugs)

The next morning the breakfast was good with a wide selection including bacon, sausage and eggs.

And yes; we got a parking ticket... won’t stay here again.

Dear,
Many thanks for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay with us.
Although I'm pleased you enjoyed our breakfast & bar, I'm very sorry about the mentioned parking & late dining problem, as I'm confident it shouldn't be a problem. Our staff should have informed you that when our parking is full, you can easily park your car (cost = approx. 15 € per 24 hrs) in a very large & 24/7 secured parking at the nearby Central Station (exit Kievitplein, at just 600 Meter from our hotel), whilst there is a selection of restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood (the charming Dageraadplaats at only 200 Meter from our hotel) serving dinner till late. I can assure you that our rooms on the back of the hotel (50 % of our room inventory) don't have any problems with traffic noise.
Please accept my apologies for apparently not informing you correctly by arriving at the hotel.
I hope you will give us the opportunity to prove we offer a great price-quality ratio.
Once again many thanks & kind regards,
Wim Van Respaille - General Manager

This hotel is in a good location, everything is within 15-20 mins walk in Antwerp as it is a very compact city. I toured the city centre and old town from this hotel and walked everywhere. Klienblatt bakery is very close by and well worth a visit! The rooms are smart and modern, they are small but perfect for a short break. the lobby is modern and nice too. they didnt clean my room after the first day, depsite having the card on the door all afternoon, but other then that it was fine.

Unfortunately our housekeeping cannot clean rooms after 3 pm (obviously fresh towels & guest supplies remain available though our reception). Please let me know in case you didn't put a 'do not disturb sign' so I can further investigate and offer you a compensation.

We come to Antwerp for the brilliant fashion shopping , away from the same old same old chains in London and the fact that all our high streets are now identical.....2nd visit to this Hotel and we really like it ! Yes , the Black decor is a bit scarey , and really it does need touching up , but the rooms are comfortable and attractive, good beds and lighting, we even had a bath. Tried the Breakfast on Sunday and after a wait we were rewarded with a good spread and friendly staff. The Zurenborg area is great too , beautiful houses in the streets behind the hotel ( Yes, the main road where the Hotel is situated is not very nice ) Great restaurants and many different choices. The Eurostar deal is cheap and with this Hotel, its a bargain

Room Tip: They are renovating , so get one of the renovated rooms
