Free admission for customers of KBC bank and for holders of the national museum pass. Fabulous collection, Rubens, van Dijck, Snijders,... The booklet gives lots of information about the art on display and about life in Antwerp during the times of Rockox and Snijders. Highly recommended.

A beautiful, calm gallery in the original 17th century house of a famous Antwerp art collector. It's in the side streets near the city centre but felt quiet and relaxed. They lend visitors a fantastic i-Pad that can automatically recognise the picture at which it is pointed and provides information and insight into the art work. There is a small collection of musical instruments as well as paintings.
There is a small courtyard garden which was ideal for allowing our small children to take a break. It takes around 90 minutes for a brief tour, or half a day if you really want to linger.

A wonderful place in Antwerp to tour an opulent house and view some great art. A wonderful collection of Flemish art makes for a worthwhile visit.

A wonderful reconstruction of a wealthy citizen's house in 17th century Antwerp, furnished with taste and discrimination with some fine Rubens paintings. Not to be missed.

This was a pleasant surprize for me and my friends. The building was bought by a bank years ago and they funded the museum. They provide a tablet to point towards the pieces to reveal descriptive text about the work.
We found that talking to the attendants in the different area provided us with a wealth of information about the art, the building , local history and the former owners. You could tell they loved the museum. That alone was worth the price of the ticket.
The artwork is varied with furnings and some sculpture as well. There is a lovely courtyard you can sit in and have a coffee.
