The hotel is located on one of Antwerp's main squares, straight across from the Zoo and Central Train Station, famous for its monumental architecture dating from the end of the 19th century, and a 5 minute walk from the diamond district. The neighborhood is not really an area, which I would recommend for a tourist walk as there is little to see. The room was spacious, clean, look quite new, comfortable beds and large, clean bathroom, large flatscreen TV. Receptionists were extremely friendly, particularly Nils. Brunch is no longer available, but you can eat breakfast. If you wish to tour Antwerp on the public bikes, the hotel will explain how to rent and also provide you with the necessary magnetic cards, to be used when picking up or dropping off the bikes from the many locations in the city. Next to the hotel you will find the Aquatopia, the large aquarium worth a visit. Many celebrities have opted for the Radisson Blu, photos of which can be seen on the walls of the hallway leading down to the hotel's own underground parking lot, quite useful in an area with narrow streets and plenty of traffic. The spa area is average with its approx. 10 meter pool, jacuzzi seating about 6 to 8 people, sauna and steam bath. Don't expect a full-fledged wellness area. All in all, great hotel, the only negative point is the neighborhood.

Room Tip: The hotel rooms are well insulated from noise, but if you prefer a view of the city, then opt for the top floors in the direction of the old town.

Dear MadridMarco_polo, thank you very much for your feedback. It is nice to hear you enjoyed your stay. I have passed your compliments to Nils and the rest of our team. I am always delighted to see they showed their “Yes I Can!” spirit. Our hotel is indeed conveniently located and the city bikes are indeed perfect to discover the city. Hopefully, we can welcome you back in the future.

Kind regards

We stayed two nights here and the location was nice - right across the street from the train station, lots of shopping and the hop on-hop off bus (which I would recommend - only 13 euros and a nice tour). It is also next to the aquarium and across from the zoo so if you want to see those, you're very close. It is a bit of a walk to the city center, but do-able or you can catch the hop on hop off bus. The hotel was nice - good service, but long hallways from the elevator and the bed was pretty hard- so not the most comfortable. Our room was on the side of the building so no view, but quiet. We didn't eat at the hotel or use the pool or exercise room, so no comment on those.

The Radisson is situated in the same square as Antwerp Central station - completely convenient to walk across the square to deposit the bags.

I booked a twin room but was given a double, as we needed separate beds we rang down to ask for either another room or for the beds to be split. This first room was "OK", the view was of the back of the hotel so all you could see were other hotel rooms or as my 13 year old cousin rather deftly summed up "It looks like a prison" - I couldn't really argue !

So, we ended up moving rooms and OMG, so glad they made the mistake - we ended up in a room with huge windows overlooking Anterp Central Station. The room was so much brighter.

We could hear the music from the Karoke bar opposite til quite late - the hotel did say that they do ask them to turn it down if they receive guest complaints.

It is about a 15 minute walk down to Grote Markt - but down the main shopping street so not really a trauma.

Tips:
-The hotel has discounted tickets to the Aquarium next door - about 40% off.
-Check out Moochie's - the frozen yogurt shop on the way to Grote Markt.
-All under 25's can go into museums for 1 euro.

Room Tip: One that overlooks the main square on a high floor.

I was looking forward to my stay at the Radisson Blu in Antwerp but ended up somewhat disappointed. The post-modern design of the outside is nowhere to be found inside. I was particularly disappointed in the room. While some reviewers have commented positively on the rooms with round windows, I found that this made for a dark, rather gloomy atmosphere as the curtains could not be fully pulled back.
The furniture was tourist class quality. The TV was smallish and the picture quality poor. Surprisingly CNN was not available. The gym was fairly big by hotel standards and well equipped but as a whole this "wellness" area was rather messy and uninviting.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days. it has a very Good location, very close to the cathedral, but a bit expensive. Part of it, has a Old funiture in the rooms and located in a not so nice area. Very close to Public transportation.
The hotel has also a restaurant in the first floor, we had dinner there in our first night. The staff are not at all well organized, they mix the dishes between tables, for 2 times our dishes have been delivered in another table. The restaurant is also expensive.
