Situated in picturesque Astrid Square, it is ideally located, literally on top for the stunning central train station, seconds from famous Diamond Quarter, minutes to old town and the Grote Markt.
A must visit is the zoo, also seconds away. The local airport is also within good proximity as also the main international motorways.
Access by tourist bus or car is a bit challenging, sine there is no direct outside parking and you have to walk. Also there is no ramp for the suitcase and strollers; there is a semi lift for the disabled, yet takes “ages’ for the staff to come and help you!
Its a really massive hotel building, trying to mimic the local architecture, some rooms have good views of Astrid Square and the city.
Rooms, which is usual in that area are pretty small. Prices tend in entire to be on the very high side, so if you are not attend an event, conference, trade show, choose an oof peak period and you will get a decent price. Comparing to surrounding hotels. maybe the best option.
Its a popular destination for events and meetings, with good banqueting and meetings facilities.
This hotel is home to Aquatopia, a unique Antwerp feature and educational destination that’s home to more than 10,000 fish and reptiles.
The service, although good, needs some more attention, improvement and character!
At some point I would like to see a report and customers feedback on the "100% Satisfaction Guarantee”.
The "One Touch Service” have to admit that when dialled got good service.
For some reason the Porter was never there during our 3 day stay, especially when we needed that extra little help!
