My wife and I stayed 3 nights for a long weekend in May 2012. Our bedroom was large, comfortable and generally well equipped (especially for those on business) though lacked a dressing table for my wife. The bathroom had a shower cubicle as well as a bath which is always useful. Our room was facing an office block which seemed very close by and at 6 am one morning we were woken by a considerable amount of banging (rubbish disposal ?) that was coming from between the hotel and the office buildings. The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet along with plenty of staff both to serve guests coffee, tea etc. and to replenish the buffet.
The hotel’s location is ideal for tourists coming to visit Antwerp as it is within 15 minutes walk of the central railway station (with fast trains to Brussels Midi (for Eurostar) and Amsterdam. It is also right in the centre of the city adjacent to the cathedral and near other popular tourist sights. Also, there are numerous restaurants of different types and budgets. Finally, I must highlight the staff and particularly those at Reception as they were both charming and efficient which for such a busy hotel is unusual but great for the guests.More
