We booked two rooms in this hotel - one with double bed and another with two single beds. Double-bed room was on the first floor facing inner garden: it was not bright enough, some lamps were not working, toilet door was too wide for the small toilet room, in the bathroom it was not possible to separate shower from other part of the room...
First single-bed room that we were provided had a heavy paint smell inside, happily we were able to change it.

Dear,

I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay to the fullest. We have indeed done some painting works to refresh our rooms, which might have caused some odour during a few days. The lamps off course should have been working. Don't hesitate to mention this to one of our staff members as soon as you notice. They will gladdly fix it for you, in not time.
We do hope to see you again on a later date, so you can enjoy our service to the fullest.

Best regards,

Anthony Pierards

A minute from the main train station so ideal for any connecting travel. The room was large and clean with nice bathroom, good shower.I was very happy and comfortable in the room no disturbances.Staff were efficient. The only reason I may not stay again would be because it was approx 25 minute walk to the old town where I prefer to be.Hotel prices however are much higher there so fair enough.Another nice option would be to hire a bicycle right outside the hotel as it seemed a lot easier to cycle about compared to Amsterdam.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your lovely review. I will make sure to pass on your compliments to our entire team. We are indeed a little further off the old town, but a bicycle or tram just in front of the hotel, will get you there in less then 4 minutes. On your next stay, don't hesitate to ask one of our receptionists for some tips about getting to the old town quick and easy. I'm sure they will love to help you!

We hope to see you again soon!

Best regards,

We spent three nights here on a Guardian city break. Very comfortable, centrally located (opposite the most beautiful railway station in Europe). Just the right amount of amenity; no extras you don't need. Adequate breakfast; good choice of cold foods.

Room Tip: Try for a room at the back, off the courtyard.

A great location right across from the Centraal Station. Good price. Reaaly helpful staff. Small, oldish rooms wit a modern bath, but a very small shower enclosure. Water pressure was great and plenty of hot water. Good included breakfast. Internet is available for a fee, but was listed as included in our search. They provided it free to us;but check on its charge before booking. Recommended as a good value and a superb location.

Room Tip: ask for a room NOT facing the street. They have rooms that face an inside courtyard that are much qu...

The location and room were very good against an attractive rate. Located in front of the train station.

Only down side were the minimal service of the reception desk and the very narrow parking garage.

No need to take breakfast at the hotel as there are a lot of restaurants nearby.

The Leonardo Hotel is a good budget hotel. Our rooms were clean and warm, and we met a lot of really helpful and friendly staff who spoke perfect English. The breakfast bar can get a bit crowded but there is a lot of choice, and it's kept well topped up. Unfortunately they do not provide tea / coffee machines in the bedrooms, but outside of breakfast, you can buy drinks in the lobby or at nearby takeaways / cafes. It's right next to the Central Antwerp Station, which is handy if you're travelling around by bus, tram or trains. It is also well located for walking to major attractions - Ruben's House, the Cathedral, Grote Markt and the Stadhuis, Groenplaats, Vleeshuis (the Meathouse), a number of historic churches and the Zoo. There is a friendly Irish bar, Kellys, about 10 doors down, which shows a lot of UK sport. We were overlooking a road at the back of the hotel; it was a bit noisy at night from local bars / gambling places, but it doesn't go on too late.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the little triangular terraces might get less noise from the local bars. Rooms ove...
