I have stayed at this beautiful hotel a number of times now. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The location could not be better being near the city sites and the bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It's very nice being greeted with a glass of sherry or port to warm you up and in the weekday evenings there are free tapas to enjoy.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice

the position of the hotel is perfect next to it there is the grote market parking, but I believe that the hotel itself has its own parking . The room, I stayed on ,was very big with wooden floor. The bathroom was dated but there was a bad smell on it separated from the toilet . The tv has a lot of channels, and there were all the main italian channels( 6) it is very unusual. the breakfast is good and very nice the aperitif that they are offering you on the evening. The hotel pretend to be very elegant but the result is an average one. The price is not very cheap but I stayed in other hotel in the city and was in line with the others

The entire hotel is very clean.
The breakfast still is very good, with something for everyone.
The staff are friendly
But the storage for baggage for early arrivals is a little hap-hazzard. Our room #11 was not ready and we were told to put our bags in a closet near the entry. There is no numbered ticket for your bags and anyone, everyone has access to this closet. I guess it is on the "honor system".
The maintance is another issue.
Room #11- the mirrored closet door, one was cracked, broken. Fortunatley the front desk was aware of this and they did not think we broke the mirror.
The liquid soaps and lotions were not replenished on the second day.
The mini bar- half of the drinks were past their sell-by-date.
I know I could have told the front desk of this, but I don't think it is my responsibilty to do so. I think it is a lack of supervision of housekeeping.
There are lots of positives about this hotel, but with these negatives I think the hotel is a little overpriced.

Room Tip: We have stayed in #10 and #11 garden rooms. If you want a very private garden terrace #11 is a good...

Located in a quiet side street just off the old town square, this hotel offers comfortable and quiet rooms. A glass of sherry or port at check in is a nice touch, and we found the staff extremely helpful when it came to choosing restaurants and booking tables, and similar problems that confront visitors in an unfamiliar town. The breakfast buffet provides everything you could want, and the only negative point about our stay was the inconsiderate behaviour of a group of guests who were shrieking in the corridors at 2:30 am.

We stayed in hotel Rubens in Antwerp for a long weekend. We paid slightly over 300 euros for two nights. When you walk in, the hotel has a funny smell like air fresheners are operated. This continues throughout the hotel. The lift is very old. The room was okay but a bit worn. In the shower, the shower head was dirty, its holding bar lacked a piece and when showering, it leaked onto the bathroom floor. Towels were very thin and for the second day, no new bathroom amenities were provided so we just had one tiny bottle of shower gel and shampoo. The television set had dozens of channels but only the two public Belgian networks and BVN when it came to Dutch channels. There is no real bar in the hotel. Breakfast was OK, wifi was offered for free but only worked in the lobby and it was incredably hot in the breakfast area. The location of the hotel is great, just next to the Grote Markt. So it's mostly because of location that you pay 150 euros per night.

I stayed here for a week in October. The room was clean and kept clean during the week. Its on a side street which can be a little difficult to find and there was some construction close by. They have covered and safe parking but you will need to walk about 2 blocks to get your vehicle. You will be welcomed with a drink of liquor at check in, if you choose. Grote Market is just around the corner. Good selections of food and wonderful beer. One downside was the WIFI was free in the lobby, but could not get a signal in my room.

Room Tip: Close to the 1st floor and near the lobby if you want WIFI

We thought we had arrived at the wrong place when we entered the narrow road in the heart of Antwerp. This hotel had all the detail found in a family owned hotel and as we were a group of seven we enjoyed a a free drink of wine before checking in which was placed on a table for all the hotel guests. I was then given a lovely large room and was surprised to find it had a secluded garden. Above all it was so very quiet and that in the very centre of Antwerp. This hotel is by no means a plush or luxury hotel but it oozes warmth. I would highly recommend this hotel for business and for a family city visit
