“Nice way to view the city”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

We did the 50 min trip around the harbour. The commentary was not in English, but we were given an English information sheet for the route which explained everything. It was interesting to learn a bit more about the city and also to sit out in the sun and take photos on the top deck.

Interestingly enough, we were also slightly delayed while the police checked the boat, but our tour still went ahead so they must have been happy with the arrangements that day!

“Didn't actually make it ”
Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

We didn't actually get to go on the 50min tour because the police showed up and prevented us from boarding. From what we understood they had a problem with the number of staff on the boat for the number of customers expected.
The tour company refunded us all promptly and without complaint.
I am only posting this as a warning that you should always make sure that there are enough staff available when you take this tour.

“Nice trip”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

Flandria have three possible choices:a trip on Schelde river, and two harbour cruises,a short one and a long one.I tried the short one. It'a a 1,5 hours long trip. The price,in june 2013 was 11 euro. The start point is on Willemdock, right next to the MAS museum. The route continues on Albert dock,Leopolddock,Hansadock and back via Havendock. The terminus point is next to Londenbrug.A good choice if you want to see one of the biggest Europe's port, but don't expect for very spectacular views.Mostly, industrial landscape.
The long trip takes about 2,5-3 hours.

“Visit the 2nd largest seaport in Europe”
Reviewed 5 February 2013

There are lots of things to do in Antwerp. Besides visiting what probably is the most beautiful train station of the world, there is the Zoo, right next to it.

But on a hot, hazy and humid day in summer, a great idea is to board one of the cruise vessels from the Flandria line. The harbor cruise will take you in between cranes, cargo vessels, container ships, oil refineries, dry docks... boats, ships, ships and more ships...

You'll definitely enjoy it and understand that it is a place that never sleeps!

Highly recommended...

“Change of boarding point”
Reviewed 26 October 2012

We read up about the Flandria Line and decided to go on the Friday 25-October-2012 afternoon cruise (14:30). We arrived about 14:00 at the Steenplien, but were told that the boat left from Londenbrug (near MAS). That's 20 minutes walk! We made it, just, but were not amused.
The ride on the boat was interesting, with commentary in three languages (one of them English) about the docks and the trade. A worthwhile trip. Your camera may snap some really big ships.
