We went to Restaurant Tarbouch using a Groupon. The restaurant itself looked a bit shady from outside, but the inside had a nice Lebanese atmosphere, including matching music (which was pretty loud). Service was friendly, but seemed more interested in some private visitors sitting at another table. This caused us to wait for our drinks for like 20 minutes. They gave us some Lebanese bread and olives to start with, and a small alcoholic drink.
We didn't get to choose for the lentil soup or ‘soup of the day’, they just served us the lentil soup, which was good. Our starters and main course was served on one big plate, but we didn't really mind. Again, we didn't get to choose for lamb/beef/vegetarian as was promised on the Groupon. I guess you should to this when making the reservation. The starters and main course tasted excellent and fresh. The plate contained some:
* tabouleh
* hummus
* fattouche
* labneh (drizzled with awesome olive oil)
* okra in tomato sauce
* lentils with onion and tar
* a pastry filled with goat’s cheese
* one falafel
* a pastry filled with minced meat
* rice and lamb
Generous portions and the taste were great.
As dessert they served us a sweet pastry.
Overall it was an ok experience, especially for this price.

we filled a whole evening in this restaurant, chatting away while eating the delicious food. Especially the Humus and recommended salad where very good. As well as the gambas.

Atmosphere was very relaxed, changes in menus/dishes no problem. We had a great time there

We were a group of 8 friends using a Groupon voucher for dinner. The voucher mentioned that there would be a choice of fish/meat/vegetarian for the main course, and so when I made the reservation via phone, I did not make any special mention of the 2 vegetarians in our group. And boy, did that rub the wrong way with the restaurant!

It was a warm Friday night, and there were a few tables placed out on the curb but we were seated indoors. For a weekend night, less than half the tables were occupied but with just 1 waiting staff to serve us all, it made for terrible and grouchy service!

It took us several tries to flag the waiter down to order drinks.
We were first served lentil soup (tasted bland and could at best be called lukewarm), served with some hot chilli sauce on the side that wasn't that bad.
Next arrived a mixed plate of cold/warm appetizers - warm flatbread with hummus, tabouleh, a green salad, warm cheese and meat pastries, falafel, chicken in garlic sauce, okra in tomato sauce, etc. These were alright.
The main course were 2 huge plates of rice, one heaped with chicken and the other with shredded beef. Unfortunately, unlike what it promised on the voucher, we could not really choose what we wanted individually, but were just served what they had as common portions to share. The waiter had already made a huge fuss about me not warning the restaurant of the 2 vegetarians in our group when making the reservation but did mention that they would try and accommodate the vegetarians. When our main courses arrived, we were told that all the main dishes had meat in them and the okra (we thought this was one of the appetizers) was what the vegetarians had to make do with!! When I complained, they were served some mini dolmadas that were horribly sour and tasted really stale!

Dessert was a tiny cheese pastry drizzled with honey. Nothing to write home about.

When we ordered a bottle of wine, the waitress (there was apparently a 2nd waiting person in the wings, standing by doing almost nothing) dumped the wine bottle on the table and left. After several tries at asking for wine glasses, we finally got them but we had to do our own pouring. Not what I expect if I am sitting down at a restaurant and paying 30 euro for a bottle!!

In all, okay food but I could probably have thrown together something far more delicious in my own kitchen! Given the absolutely horrendous service (almost downright rude), I doubt if I'd step in here again.

The food is good, but commercial.
The prices are reasonable, and you pay for what you get.
However, I have tasted better lebanese, but I would go there again.
Service considering friendliness and needs to be more welcome and inviting.
Otherwise its fine, and I would go there again.

We had dinner in this place last night, and it was below all standards. Granted, we ate there with a groupon coupon, but we never got what it said we would get.

The soup - apparently they chose for us what we would have, because the coupon said we had a choice - was sour and served in a plastic bowl. Instead of four plates, as promised, they gave us a combi-dish of some vegetables/salads with in the center of the plate some rice and cold meat which they claimed afterwards to be our main course. The bread it was served with was old and smelly. The dessert, finally, was hardly worth mentioning.

With a service that was just average and a floor that was far from clean, we feel obliged to give this restaurant a negative score. Choose another Libanese resto, this place is just a blemish for this otherwise wonderful kitchen.
