The booking was made by a company on the occassion of a workshop organised in the area of Antwerp.
The general idea was a budget hotel (rate about 90 euro/night) in a central location in
the city. The place indeed is very close to the main sites of the city, to restaurants, and to the shopping district.
The management was completing a renovation with very bad results. A glass door, without any sign, hardly gave the impression of an hotel entrance. The lobby was dark and narrow, with very limited seating place, and a small reception desk.
In my floor, the corridors as well as the doors of the rooms were painted in a dark ..orange color. My room inside, had black floor, cheap furniture, very poor lighting and bad color combinations.
It was facing a small square and late in the evening I was disrupted by shouts from apparently drunk people.
The breakfast room was more like a factory canteen with connected tables in raws. Breakfast was ok, with plenty of juices, cold food, and fresh croissantes.
The limited personnel (one person per shift) was very kind and willing, however this was not enough to change the general bad impression.
