Description: In this gastro-pub, decorated in a British style, the gigantic colourful skylight, the tiffany lamps and the hand out cut mirrors immediately draw your attention. First quality is considered of primary importance: homemade bread and biscuits, exquisite chesses from cheeste master Van Tricht... From a typical English breakfast and an afternoon high tea to all kinds of snacks to satisfy your hunger pangs or a fine Flemisch and International kitchen by our Flemisch chef and his International crew.

Booked a high tea arrangement here for two people, through a promotional website.
Tea was delicious (they offer a wide range of quality teas). Cava was also good. The food itself was a bit disappointing. No cucumber sandwiches, but only 2 small sandwiches with chicken/pesto instead. Rest of the platters were filled with one huge slice of pear pie and a lot of cookies. Didn't taste 100% fresh. So we didn't eat it all. Would have preferred a bit more savoury sandwiches and more freshly baked cakes or cookies. Wasn't bad, just not 100% fresh and original.

Another Italian restaurant near Central Station, we have order two set dinner menu (€38 and €28). The food is okay, the most delicious is dessert included, you will have vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, creme brûlée and a hot coffee with homemade sweet. However, the attitude of the staff is not good and a little bit impolite. Otherwise, it is reasonable choice in Antwerp.

The menu lists things like "dukes blond beer" and "dukes cider" which are actually carlsberg and somersby cider. The waitress also brought us totally different drinks to those we ordered first time around; although there were only around 20 people in the whole place. The real ale in the cask had also spoiled; though the staff did not have enough expertise to identify this so we could not get a replacement for our sour, discoloured ale.

I am only giving 2 stars because the decor is so pleasant.

Just go next door to bier central.....same company own it but the staff really know what they are doing!

The front desk clerk at our hotel suggested this place for a late dinner. First impression is a very busy room with British accents, including clips of James Bond playing on the flat screen. Bright and multi-tiered, you have a good view of the room from every table.

Our server was efficient but not especially knowledgable. My friend wanted mussels but they were getting close to out of season. I ordered the venison which came nicely prepared, a small portion properly done with a selection of small vegetables. The plating was very decorative, which does not make food taste better.

This is a quirky place with a mix of cuisines. Best for when you cannot decide what you want. Of course, someone desiring British food or drink in Antwerp should stop by.

We stopped for a late afternoon beer with an intent to have some mussels later on. However the people at the table next to us ordered some while we were enjoying our beer and they said they had run out. Since they were heavily advertised as one of the specials we were not impressed. Beer was fine, location was nice but the staff were distant and not really interested so we went elsewhere
