“a surprising park”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

I you have got a few hours left in Antwerp, this very nice art-park will surprise you. Just experience it for yourself and be surprised by the objects you might see on your walk. I did love it.

“The best stroll in Antwerp”
Reviewed 4 December 2013

Located on the outskirts of Antwerp, but accessible by bus or tram, this FREE open-air museum presents a worthy collection of 19th and 20th century and contemporary (Gormley, Ai Weiwei) sculpture in a park setting. It is likely not high on your to-do list in Antwerp, but if you have the time and the weather is fine, this is a lovely place to spend an afternoon in a cultural park. As it is Belgium, there is also a decent cafe/restaurant in the park should you need a sit-down or are getting a bit peckish.

Absolutely beautiful park and artwork, great for a walk around or maybe a picnic. A unique spin on a public park.

“Delightful”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

Fantastic free outdoor museum. It no doubt helped that we went there on a sunny day, but I think I'd have enjoyed it anyway. The park itself is attractive, with nice woodland, and there are a lot of sculptures to see, including some truly fantastic ones and some works by major artists. The Anthony Gormley one - Firmament III - is quite remarkable. The polar bear one was lovely and guaranteed to go down well with kids (and big kids, like me). The "melting boat" one was fun and quirky. The on site cafe, while not cheap, is worth checking out as the cakes are great. I'd definitely recommend this place. It's free, and there is stuff for all ages.
