Pros - Super easy to find, only a couple of minutes from central station. Easy twenty minute walk to historic centre, Grand-Place etc. Room was basic but clean, secure and fairly comfortable. Wifi worked fine, good hot shower. Nice quiet room on about the fifth floor, facing the street (barely even saw any other guests around). Friendly staff who spoke good English and were happy to offer assistance on sightseeing, where to eat, etc. Overall great value for money!

Cons - Got a triple room (two separate singles and a bunk bed on top) although we requested a double - a bit weird sleeping in separate beds from your partner while on holiday, but oh well. Room was very stuffy and window didn't open enough to let in a breeze, uncomfortably warm at night.

Getting to the hotel wasn’t very difficult. I arrived at the Central Station, and the hotel is situated almost around the corner. Do a Google search of the hotel, and you’ll find that leaving the train station, you can either go directly through or around the station to get to the hotel. Very simple, and I was there in a matter of minutes.

Check in was also uneventful. I made arrangements on line and everything had already been taken care of. I arrived after noon, so my room was ready for me to check in.

The room was larger than usual and basic but comfortable. In the room, there was a separate toilet with a door and a separate shower and a small sink outside both. There was a large ample and comfortable bed, and there was a small desk. There were enough outlets to handle all my gadgets (bring your own adapters). No closet but small space to hang clothes and small shelf space.

Wi-fi was free and there were some intermittent problems with the service but nothing to be concerned about. Breakfast was included and was ample and satisfactory. A TV was in the room, but I did not use it. A large window in my room looked out on the street. The window could open but it was a little noisy with the window open. Otherwise, it was a comfortable room. No complaints.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. All the staff speak English and were very helpful with information about the hotel and the surrounding area.

The hotel is centrally located. Many of the sights that you would want to see are near the hotel or within walking distance. Having the train station nearby was also a plus because there were many stores, restaurants, banks, and other amenities nearby. Markets are everywhere if you want to buy snacks to bring back to the room. Restaurants are situated everywhere around the hotel, so there are many and varied choices.

I took a side trip one day by train to Ghent which was a real treat, and I would highly recommend - you can buy a flexible train ticket that will get you there and back for a very reasonable fee.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We visited this hotel in late April 2014 as part of a week’s travelling in Belgium & Germany. Our bus was delayed at the Eurotunnel for 8 hours so we got to the hotel at half 2 in the morning. The hotel is located right next to the ‘east’ entrance of Antwerp station in a new apartment-esque complex with a Lidl right underneath. When we arrived, reception was open despite the time and the member of staff was helpful and efficient meaning we could get to sleep as quickly as possible.

The room itself was in many ways brilliant. It comes with 3 beds (2 singles with a bunkbed on top), a shower room, toilet and TV. Beds were comfy and the room quite honestly was fine. The one criticism I would have is that it felt almost that the hotel chain is trying *too* hard to be basic. I mean for the price you pay you don’t expect much, but small things like lack of a kettle prevented us from having breakfast (I can’t remember if the hotel had any on offer, regardless we were too skint for that). The walls were devoid of any decoration and the toilet made you feel as if you’re in a whitewashed mental institution – or a sci-fi movie if you enjoy that stuff.

However, I wouldn’t be put off at all – It’s a great stop for a few nights in a brilliant location within Antwerp! Ideal if you’re visiting for business or particularly as an alternative to hostels if backpacking. Would visit again!

We were supposed to stay in this hotel for two nights.. well we arrived little bit after 8 pm, proceed with check in and left for our room. It was super surprise that room we've got is smoking( I'm 6 months pregnant and yeah that smell cause a nausea) so we went back to the reception ask for another room and twin room has been offered to us.. its been very disappointing for us as we were after long journey and it just made us go for hotel hunting again... never ever again...

Very well situated near to the main train station ( a magnificent building in itself) this hotel is named "budget" but it has everything the traveller needs at a very reasonable price. The area is safe and the hotel rooms are clean and functional - don't expect deep pile carpets and exotic fittings! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is what you would expect at this price...adequate (however, I've had worse breakfasts at more expensive hotels). The old city centre is a bit of a walk away but purchase a daily tram ticket from the information office on the station (€5) and you have access to a surprisingly comprehensive tram system which will take you to all parts of the city. Plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets in Antwerp but over the years I have found Den Engel (great Square) and Bar Deco (just round corner) pretty good but the most comprehensive beer selection is found in The Kulminator...ask for directions at Hotel.

This was great value. The room was clean, welll designed and appointed. The welcome and help at the desk was excellent. The location was excellent for the station and the zoo and restaurants and the main square. Fifteen minutes from Cathedral.
