“Very nice location!”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

I came to Brussels for one day and I just needed a nice place to stay with a great location (near to the center). The Front-desk agent was very pleasant and fast. The room was clean with AC, bed was comfortable and with a nice TV. The price was excellent! If you don't need luxury, is a nice place to stay!

stayed here after a trip to holland/belgium with colleagues.

arrivd eearly eveing after a long joutney.

the old guy on reception wasn't very welcoming, and not particualrly helpful.

the hotel had a strange 'cold' atmosphere.

rooms are an ok size, but the two single beds requested were pushed togother to make a double!
the decor is really shabby and marked, the furniture out of dates.
bathroom again well pas its sell by date.

manged to grab a meal next door and a few beers.
didnt have the breakfast in the morning, but it looked like a £££ for a few old coissants.

only good thing about this place was the location.
the are much nicer hotels nearby.

Stayed her for two nights, had not booked this myself and gladly had not pay the visit myself either. I can not say so much about if this is worth for your money or not.
The location is great. But that is where the good things are. Well, the rooms were not dirty, pretty clean actually.
I woke up several times because of the noise from the street. My room was on the first floor and I thought the window was open. But it wasn't. The cobblestones highlighted all the noice coming from the street.
The rooms need refurbishment badly. Breakfast was very simple, not worth paying 12 euros which was stated at the reception. Personnel could not help with the wifi, which was free at least for the first 24 hrs.
I will not come here again.

great location.
but: hair on pillow. shower didn't work, discovered too late in a.m., had to wash under the tap.
desk clerk very personable ( tho ran after a guest to make sure they were truly a guest-- then told me 'we get a lot of junkies'

next time, definitely the novotel or elsewhere.

The only thing I liked was its marvelous location, the way receptionist treated us, secure left luggage. There is nothing in the room which should be worth commenting. Funny things- Super slim pillow (it was a stretched pillow type), worn away carpet with threads coming out, worn out chair, sprung mattress bed & an aged CRT tele. This room matched a small time lodge !! The shower tub was a strange built and it confused me how to step into. Free toiletries were of average quality.
Well strangely, the room was clean and tidied up. My Juliet balcony overlooked Grasmarket and I must stay that there is a swarm of tourists in this area.
Overall, I ended up spending more time in Grand place area than in the room as this is what I came to Brussels for.

A hotel with ideal location, undisputedly, within the historical center. Both Grasmarkt and Grand Place are a short walk away. The rooms are however quite old and weary, e.g. with rough blankets serving as bed cover. The receptionist was extremely slow (25 minutes for the check-in and invoice for 2 people) and innaccurate - although he was left alone in peak hours to manage check-ins and care for all the other requests in the hotel. At one time, guests were queing out to the streets. We paid for the wi-fi that was not working, it was a humiliating process to get the money back, on which we even got sneer remarks at checkout (the EUR 5 was returned in 10-20 cents, funny). My overall personal experience was bad, and do not recommend staying here.

Close to trains, buses, taxis (all a 5 min walk), restaurants & places of interest - right outside the door or a very short walk. Was pleasantly surprised when I finally got the door open (strange door handles) as the room was more spacious than we expected it to be. The staff were welcoming, friendly & helpful. Breakfast was included in my deal and would call it your typical European breakfast. I'd stay there again.

Room Tip: Our room was towards the back therefore street noise was minimal
