“Pleasant but quirky”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

Visited here with business colleagues. Old style restaurant that has probably not changed much for decades. The menu was quite adequate with large starters and smaller main courses. Service was good till the restaurant became quite full when the single waiter was very busy. Wine choice -especially by the glass- was limited. A pleasant and relaxed evening

“Excellent meal, lovely ambiance”
Reviewed 3 January 2014

A relaxed classic sort of place with big ceilings and nice lighting. Not the most special food but for an upmarket bistro, extremely good with the typical Belgian "French quality/German portions".. One owner/manager and one waiter who worked very very hard to service the 36 seats

My only comment would be to book ahead and ask not to be by the door as that gets banged into every time it opens!

“Lovely anniversary dinner”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

For our anniversary, we decided to go to Brussels, as none of us had ever visited the Belgian capital. I booked this restaurant because of the reviews on tripadvisor.

The food is superb, it´s a mixture of French and Belgian and it´s delicious. The atmosphere is romantic and their lights give a very special touch to your party. In our case it worked perfectly.

Just be aware that although they accept bookings, you will need to phone them and speak in French. I made a booking through one of those websites like bookatable or toptable, when you can book a table in a restaurant (no special menus or offers, just a service to book a table in a restaurant, which is quite handy if you try to book it from abroad). However, when we got to the restaurant, they had no notice about it. It would have been a pity to have missed this place.

“Charming typical restaurant in centre Brussels”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

We wanted to show some foreign friends a typical Brussels restaurant, far from the "touristic" approach that so often occurs near the Grand Place. We got what we wanted.
This is a tiny restaurant so reservation is recommended. If you arrive reasonably early, you may even have the choice for the table (in order to be far from the entrance door).
Food (meat, fish, dessert) was absolutely delicious, wine is ok. Service is efficient and friendly. Price is not cheap, but corresponds to Brussels standards and value for money certainly deserves a visit.
We will certainly return.

“Charming Little Restaurant”
Reviewed 14 November 2013 via mobile

The service was comfortable: like someone had invited you into their home. The ambience was perfect for a Tet-a-Tet. The quality if the wine was great and the food was good. A short walk from the Amigo Hotel.
