“Disappointment writ large”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

We had come to Brussels for a quiet weekend with just the two of us and only had one night in the city. We wanted to find a nice place to have a meal and unfortunately came to this place. In the same street as this place is located is a large number of establishments who have staff cajoling passers by to come in and eat. We got a cheap glass of what was termed champagne as an incentive. We just ordered a main course. I had the waterzooi and my wife the mussels. While her food was OK, mine just seemed bland, tasteless and watery with badly cut chicken pieces, with bits of bone still in them. The real problem started when we came to try to pay. The total bill came to €48 as we'd decided not to bother with any second course as the first course wasn't at all that brilliant. They brought the card machine over and tried my card. They said that there was a problem with their connection and couldn't process it and that other places had been affected. So they insisted on cash, which we didn't have enough of. He tried to direct me to a cash dispenser allegedly about 100m away which didn't exist. I eventually found one and got some euros out at my expense of course as I will have had to pay a cash withdrawal fee. We handed over the €48 and left. We will not be coming back. Oddly enough just after we left we noticed other establishments processing card payments leaving us bemused as to exactly what problem was afflicting this place that evening.

“deceiving information”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

We went to this establishment and we were offered a lobster with two sides for 25€. After we finished the meal we were given the bill with a 45€ charge just for the lobster, 9€ for the salad, and 8€ for rice that was barely cooked and hard. When we inquired at the door with the guy who offered the 25€ meal to us he told us in a very RUDE way that we should have looked at the menu. Our total bill came out to be 73€. We paid and left as very dissatisfied customers.

“Excellent value”
Reviewed 26 October 2012

This is a great little place right in the heart of Brussels. You might expect to be paying high prices when your only 300 yards from the Grand Place but not here. we had the 18 euro fixed price menu and it was great. i love sea food so went for that. Fresh tasty and served quickly and hot. A pleasant and friendly atmosphere which is suitable for families, couples in fact anybody who likes good food at good prices. We tried several other restaurants at higher prices but they weren't as good. So why pay more?

“Excellent Food & Excellent Service”

Very good atmosphere with a lovely fire place next to our table inside the restaurant. I love Spanish food and the idea of Paella on an afternoon in Bruselas with family sounds like heaven.
