Spent 9 nights. Great location friendly and close to everything. Clean fully equipped including kitchen. Above all unbelievably quiet despite central location by the major art museums.
Towels changed every day . Best belgian chocolates around as well as groceries and delicatessen.

I chose Mr Milstain as the apartment of choice for my New Year Break 2009/10. Heading out via Eurostar, we took the 27 bus which left us a short walk to the apartment.
The area is safe and elegant in the arts quarter, amidst all the galleries and museums. Also round the corner there are lots of restaurants and cafes around the square.
I found the apartment via the tourist office website under "Bed and Brussels". Not the cheapest at E77.50 a night for two people, but we were not slumming it and in a safe area. I felt this was important as I had heard Brussels can be rough in places and I was with my young son.
The apartment was very warm and chic, with it's own kitchenette and coffee machine. It had a tv and shower room.
Ideally I would recommend it for a couple.
Mr Milstain an art dealer in Africaan works, has a gallery nextdoor.
The area was very quiet except for the odd reveller on New Year's night.
However a lot of shops and art galleries were shut over this period which limited our choices. We did head to the Sainte-Catherine Christmas Market and ice-rink but the market was disappointing. Also the Rene Magritte Museum will need pre-booking as it is sold out!
However fabulous cobbled streets were everywhere and examples of Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture free to view as you wander about.
Sablon church offers examples of Romanesque/gothic architecture round the corner from the apartment.
Probably a better experience for couples able to enjoy the nightlife.
Watch out for the waffle vans, as they offer delicious hot waffles freshly made for E1.50 each. Cheaper eateries need to be identified as you walk further from the Grand Place and Sablon Square. We found a creperie and Belgian restaurant and Brasserie nearby which were not too badly priced.
