Even though located far away from the 2 shop concentrations of the city that are downtown and uptown, this shopping center was one of the first, if not the first, small mall of Brussels. It is of a decent size, that allows to stroll among the shops without being too tired. It offers a very wide variety of shops, with famous brands, a supermarket as well as various types of eateries and has a very large covered parking space. One can easily find everything one needs in no time. I regret however the disappearance of the music/dvd store and would recommend a few more sitting arrangements along the shops for mother with children or elderly people to rest during their visit.

The operating hours are far too restrictive, hence it's impossible for me to visit during the work week. I've been in Belgium for 6 months and have yet to find a shop open here. This is hardly unique, however, as all other shopping malls in Belgium follow the exact same schedule, but that doesn't make it any less absurd or inconvenient. How can retailers think it makes sense to be open only during the hours when almost all their potential customers are busy at work... and then, the instant they're available to go shopping, the shops close their doors? It's madness... but hey, that's Belgium for you!

As well as the shops here there are quite a few places to eat whether you want a quick lunch, a full meal or just drinks and pastries. We like the Thai restaurant and the the Windmill cafe for hot chocolate and cake.
