“The most beautiful Square in Europe”

Drinks expensive, but not too bad when you can seat in a terrace and admire the view... I am leaving in Brussels now and grab every opportunity to have a coffee at the Grand Place.

“One of the wonders of the world”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

This is simply a fantastic place. It always inspires and impresses me every time I go there and I go several times a year. It really is worth travelling to Brussels just to see this.

“Beautiful in any season”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Whenever I take visitors to the Grand'Place, I like to get ahead of them in one of the little streets leading into it, and then turn around so I can see their faces when they get their first full view of this magnificent square. It never fails to astonish, and I've never seen a square to compare anywhere else in Europe.
Probably my favorite visit to the Grand'Place was at midnight on a snowy winter night, when my companion and I were the only two people there. Magical.

“Wow!”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

I'd been here before, but that was the comment made by a friend of mine on her first visit-this is an authentic medieval city-centre square (some of it restored), which will blow your mind if you're not prepared (if you think this is impressive-visit Bruges), but don't even think of buying a coffee from one of the cafes on the square-let alone a meal, or you'll need another mortgage!..

...is surrounded by shops and many good retautants. Don't miss the Café´(Roy d'Espagne) on the Grand'place, and the Galeries Saint Hubert, nearby.. (Of course, I'm partial, as I live in Brussels myself)
