Owner description: Considered one of the most beautiful medieval squares in Europe, the ornate Grand Place is the center of Brussels, where many historic buildings dating from the 17th century are located.

In my opinion this is certainly the most spectacular square in Europe.
Surrounded with old and stunning buildings (including the city hall) with wonderful facades you just can't get enough of it.
The entire square is iconic for Brussels and Belgium.
Do not forget your camera, you will need it and won't let it rest!
I recommend visiting it at least twice - once in daylight and once - nighttime.

And if you had the chance go in August when the flower carpet is laid every 2 years.

A must see in Brussels! Learning the difference between Art Nuveau and Art Deco, and seeing the architecture in this square is so interesting! It is really crowded, so be aware of your personal items!

No need to say more. This is a must see, must visit place. This is only one of the many reasons to be proud to live in this country. Try to visit during the flower carpet festival.

Sigh* How lovely this place is, so nice to see people just sitting on the cobbles chatting, laughing and drinking in the surrounding sight of the lit buildings. Simply devine, one of the most beautiful places to while away time

One of the most interesting town squares in Europe with a disparate collection of impressive buildings, erected over several hundred years, that somehow complement each other rather than contrast.

A number of good bars and restaurants in and around the square at reasonable prices which makes for a lazy drink, snack or meal while indulging in some quality people watching.

Also a great selection of shops in the vicinity providing all types of goods.
