Location is great. Walk from central station in minutes and also the heart of old Brussels. The front of house and housekeeping staff are truly top notch. These two characteristics are what make me a repeat guest. The rooms though are on the small side but well equipped and comfortable. Wooden floors, a mirrored wall and a sort of regency style furniture work quite well together. Good quality bed linens and towels. Air conditioning works well. Good blackout blinds.
The downside on my last trip, which can't be attributed to the hotel, was inconsiderate guests. A stupid woman decided to sit out in the corridor at 4am and Skype her boyfriend in the USA. She didn't want to disturb her roommate. However, sound proofing is not the best and you can sometimes hear bathroom sounds from adjacent rooms and doors banging. They should fit a sliding door in the sleeping area to reduce this. This is why the hotel drops some points in my book.
Ask for a room not facing the street as weekends can be noisy. Some of the best Greek food outside of Greece can be found around the corner in a vibrant alfresco setting, it's really worth a try and very inexpensive. Have a Belgian beer with your Gyros.More
