“amazing tagliata, expensive but totally worth it”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

They cook the food right in front of you, you can even check what other things the cook is cooking and pick whatever appeals you more. A casual restaurant.

Tiramisu was not specially good, and found it a bit small though.

“Quite the best Italian resto in Brussels”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Brussels is full of Italian restaurants-usually if you have been to Italy you should avoid them..................but nothing in Brussels comes close to this for real Italian cooking...no Belgo-Italian mish mash, this is the real thing with burratta freshly imported, sea food, pasta everything cooked to perfection.
Great fun clientele and wonderful competent staff-cannot go wrong!
Its fabulous and now that I have written this, I hope I will get a table as its already well known!

“one of the best italian in brussels”
Reviewed 10 February 2012

There are two piola restos in Chatelain area, one specializes more on sea food and is pretty new. Both are good, but I liked the sea food one best. Calamari, octopus, shrimp pasta was very good, just like in Italy. Good wine and very cosy place. A must try in Brussels...

“Genuine Italian food and lovely service”
Reviewed 20 December 2011

Eating at La Piola brings you back to Italy... with its genuine flavours and unique ingredients. The choice may not be vast, but you'll sure find three or four different pasta dishes that will make you come back again and again.

Last time we had fresh ravioli filled with broccoli and salsiccia... yummi! Their selection of Italian wines is also good... and the desserts are simply DELICIOUS. We normally go for the traditional tiramisu. Last time they had run out of tiramisu and we asked for "panna cotta covered with hot, dark chocolate". I'm still salivating at the thought of it!

I absolutely reccommend it!

“More a wine-bar than a restaurant”
Reviewed 8 November 2011

This Italian wine bar run by an Italian gentleman from Torino is very popular with the international crowd. It is mainly a wine bar, not a real restaurant. In the evening they also serve food but the menu is not very rich: 3 or 4 types of pasta and a ocuple of other dishes (steaks etc). Food is rather simple but tasty. Prepared by the cook behind the bar. Rather scenic, we found. Prices are OK but for what you get perhaps sligtly overpriced.
