“Average hotel in good location”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

I stayed in Atlas Hotel for three nights for work during the Brussels Seafood Show. Accommodation was nearly booked out in central Brussels at the time, so I was extremely please to get a vaguely reasonably priced room fairly last minute.

My first room had a broken hairdryer that kept turning on by itself. Front desk quickly tried to sort the problem for me and when it couldn't be fixed moved me to another room. The two rooms both had twin single beds and were simple and clean with windows that could be opened to the outside. I had free wifi, which was appreciated.

The bathroom was simple, but good. Just beware that the hot water takes a very long time to reach the taps.

The hotel is a handy short walk to different parts of the city centre and to the metro station.

Unfortunately I had to run each morning so did not have breakfast, which was included in the room cost.

The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor.

I recommend this hotel if you are looking för a quiet location with walking distance to Grand Place (10 minutes). This place is just off Rue Antoine Dansaert, the epicentre of Brussels’ avant-garde fashion labels, and got a good selection of nice restaurants in the neighbourhood (definitely recommending Publico (on Rue des Chartreux 32). The hotel itself is nothing fancy, in fact it's a bit worn - but it's clean, the breakfast is good and the staff is nice and helpful. The beds are comfy, there are pelty of extra pillows and blankets if needed. I wouldn't hestitate to stay here again!

I stayed on a Sunday night in April when I was able to get a room for 79 euro. The hotel is located in a nice area just a two minute walk from Place Saint Catherine (where there are quite a few restaurants to choose from). It was also only a 10 minute walk from Grote Markt.

The room and bathroom were generously sized. I did hear some noise from the hallway but since I was at the end of the hall it wasn’t much of a problem.

The free wifi was very fast and I was happy to see my laptop would fit in the room safe.

I was at breakfast at 0715 so everything was well stocked. Breakfast is the usual European style continental breakfast with meats, cheese, breads, croissants, hard boiled eggs. It was nice that it was included in the room rate.

All of the front desk staff were friendly and efficient, no problems to report in that department. Actually no problems to report at all with the hotel!

Of the two hotels I used over my long weekend in Brussels, Atlas Hotel is my number 1 choice! I would gladly stay here again if I can get the affordable weekend rate.

Recently visited Brussels with my husband and we stayed at the Atlas Hotel. The hotel is ideally situated for easy access to all the major landmarks and is located smack, bang in the middle of one of the cities major shopping districts, with all it's gorgeous independent boutiques. Althought the hotel is in need of some re-modernisation, it is very clean and rooms are spacious, with an extremely generous sized bathroom. The continental style buffet breakfast, had great service times, from 7am-10am, however, we noticed that once things started to run low, they weren't being replenished, which was quite frustrating, especially when you arrived there well within the service hours! Sound proofing between rooms, is also quite apparent, so if you're someone who gets disturbed easily by others noise, this may not be the place for you. Staff on reception were really friendly and helpful and check in and check out was all very smooth. Overall, this hotel was a pleasure to stay in and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The rooms are slightly tired and dated decorative wise, however I think the hotel is aware of this and I believe a refurbishment programme is due to take place this year, during the summer. It would be nice to revisit this hotel again, once the works have been completed.

I'm staying in this hotel at least ones a month, as my companies office is around the corner of the hotel. Very good service, clean rooms, good breakfast en nice staff. After two times I've slept in the hotel they recognize you when you get back. No need to fill in all the paperwork you just get your key. Big rooms with a small hall, bathroom at one side and sleeping room at the other side. There is a tv and minibar. Two seats and two beds or one big one. The bathroom hasn't been updated for quit some time but its clean and reasonable. Breakfast is huge, they have enough of everything. I've stayed there when the hotel was fully booked, and the breakfast was still enough for everyone. I recommend to go there as the price is reasonable and it's close to central station or midi station. Also to the center.

This hotel is perfect for a weekend in Brussels and in an excellent location, being close to the Grand Place, a slow 10 minute walk. When I arrived with my two friends it was freezing (- 4 degrees) but the hotel was lovely and warm, and the staff very friendly. We had a room each and they were spacious, clean and had extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe. Bathroom, again was very clean, the shower is in the bath but it wasn't too high to step into. I would recommend bringing your own hairdryer though As the one provided in the bathroom got very hot and cut out sometimes and I found it fiddly to use. We were on the first floor and it was very quiet, my room overlooked a little courtyard. Breakfast was great and the restaurant is very nicely decorated with comfortable chairs. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is located about a 20 minutes walk from the Brussels Central train station and a 10 minute walk to the Grand Place making it a great choice to stay at if you don't plan on doing any driving. The staff were welcoming and very accommodating the rooms are nicely decorated, clean and of a reasonable size. If your looking for a nice, clean, and reasonable place to stay you can't go wrong with this hotel.
