Great hotel, excellent location and an ethnic Filipino receptionist named Christian is a star. The free minibar is a real bonus.
We only had one problem. The room-maid threw away our laundry in the garbage. The woman didn't speak any English, and didn't understand when my wife told her it was the laundry. It was only later when the clothes never turned up, and the hotel investigated, that we discovered what had happened. Then, one of the local female receptionists tried to resist compensating us as per our valuation of the lost clothes. It was only after Christian stepped in and took over that the matter was quickly and fairly settled.

Room Tip: No water nozzle in the toilet, so Muslim guests will have a problem.

Dear guest,

First of all we would like to thank you that you took the time to communicate your inconveniences you have had concerning your laundry which you gave to one of our room maids. We do understand your disappointment. Please accept our excuses. At the same time we are happy to read that you appreciated the reaction of one of our reception employees. We will inform him about this.
This is luckily the first time we have to deal with such a problem and we hope that you will give us the opportunity to welcome you again in our hotel.

Sincerely yours,

Really enjoyed my stay here, had a lovely time. Hotel was clean, rooms were spacious and finishings were nice. Staff was nothing short of professional. Beats other Novotels right out of the ball park.

Nothing really of a view from my room, just the Ibis hotel across the street. Thankfully it's within walking distance of many points of interest within Brussels.

We stayed for 3 days. Overall: Great location, very friendy and helpful staff and a great view from our room on a nearby church. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Hotel was very quiet despite its location. I would recommend it to everyone.

Stayed for two days in August '14, and was pleased to get a good rate on Booking.com (just under $100/night). The hotel is relatively new and very clean and modern. The location is fantastic, easily walkable to all major sights, and close to public transit to the main train station/airport. The staff are friendly and helpful-- the first room we entered smelled of smoke and they quickly moved us to a new room. The only negative was that one night we asked for an extra bed sheet and it took nearly 45 min and three calls to get it. They did apologize and this could be an anomaly, but not great nonetheless. They were happy to store our bags for us on the day we left as well.
We took advantage of the breakfast buffet one morning, and it is very extensive, with all kinds of bread and pastries, fruit, yogurt, eggs, beans, tomato and cucumber, juices, coffee, tea, etc. Not cheap at 15 euro each, but definitely a nice spread.
There is a small pool (when 3 kids are in it and splashing around, it's pretty much full) and fitness center in the lower level. We didn't use it, but it's nice to know it's there. Good climate control in rooms as well- easy to keep a good constant temperature.
Overall a good hotel in a great location. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: There aren't any great views from the hotel, so any room should be fine. All are pretty sound-pr...

I was traveling solo to a few spots in Belgium, spent 3 nights here at end of trip. The best of several good hotels! Warm and friendly staff everywhere from front desk to meal services to fitness center to housekeeping. They went above and beyond. Room spacious, comfortable, great bed, ultra modern bathroom facilities. Great access to outlets, internet, WiFi. Great view over to St Catherine's and fish market area, which was an easy 3-5 minute walk for good choice of upscale dinners or just coffee at a cafe. Easy walk to train station, Grand Place, Cathedral, Royal Palace and other sites (even with a bad knee). Get the full breakfast, there was so much from which to choose and there's plenty of pleasant seating. I had a great price using online prepurchase and give them both thumbs up.

Room Tip: ask to overlook the Fish market on St Catherines side

We were only spending one night and a morning in the town en route to Germany but found this to be the perfect spot. It was easy to find, not too central that it was a nightmare to park (there's a large multi-storey opposite) and a short walk to the main tourist area. I did spot another Novotel in the central square and imagine it would be super noisy.

I don't think I've had a warmer welcome at a hotel, the staff were so lovely. Handing us maps and giving information on the best place to eat, even coming up in the lift when it seemed not to work using our key.

Our room was nicely decorated very modern, spacious and had a lovely bathroom. The bed was large and comfy and we had a small sofa too - plus the there was little noise so a good night's sleep was had!

At the back of the hotel is a square with some lovely restaurants - fairly pricey as is the whole of Brussels you have been warned! House wine £30 but we did find a carafe at a less silly price in the touristy section (where our meal was very average if not poor so I would take the management advice and go to one of the ones behind the hotel!).

I would highly recommend and we got a pretty good deal on this superior room, however we felt the breakfast was too steep and opted to grab a croissant so can't comment on that!

Room Tip: Superior room is worth extra and ask for the back with a view of the square which is charming and qu...
