We stayed here for a night during our city break in Belgium. We had a room without toilet (the shower is in the room, only the toilet is on the hall), but we didn't felt a big discomfort. Even if the toilet was shared, it was very clean. The room was small, but clean, warn and had a "home" comfort. The hotel is located at 10 min walk from Midi station and Central Station, very close to the center. I would stay there again anytime.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us, it's a short walking distance from Grand palace and other main attraction and a 10 minute walk from Gere de Midi from were we took trains to one day visits to the beautiful towns of Brugge, Gent and Antwerp. The hotel itself is small and cozy with clean rooms, good service and an ok breakfast.
If you take day trips by train like we did it is advised on your return to arrive at Gere Central in downtown as there is a great selection of restaurants there and the walk through downtown back to the hotel is much nicer then from Midi station.

The hotel is in a very nice and quiet square. It is 5 mins walking from the Grand Place. The room was clean and simple. Just perfect. There's only a payment parking close to the hotel but at night it's free.

The fine service on this traditional Brussels hotel has encouraged neighbouring restaurants, bars and hotels to to invest in the historic Pl Rouppe.

La Grande Cloche had been right on the edge of a more suburban and run down area of the city connecting the Gare de Midi with historic Grande Plas Zone. Now with renovations and new businesses plus a small street market the whole area is returning to its formal splendour.

This is a well appointed 2 star hotel conveniently located within walking distance of Grand Place and very close to Annessens tram stop. For those arriving by Eurostar, there’s no need for a taxi. The underground trams on routes 3 & 4 provide a direct link from the station to Annessens.

The hotel only merits 2 stars because the single rooms do not have en-suite bathrooms. The larger rooms are of 3 star quality. The prices reflect that this is a 2 star hotel. If you want to pay for 5 star luxury, look elsewhere. The rooms have a safe and a kettle for making tea and coffee, but no fridge. I booked direct with the hotel through their website and got an excellent rate that included breakfast.

We stayed for 3 nights in early December to visit the Christmas market and shopping centres. The weather was bitterly cold, but the hotel was well heated. We booked a double room, and were allocated room 14 which was equipped with two double beds. It could sleep 4 if you were all good friends. The bathroom was well equipped with a good sized shower. The only possible complaint was that the heating could not be turned down and the only way of regulating the temperature was to open a window. Sleeping with the windows open was not a problem for the first two nights when the weather kept everyone indoors, but on the third night there was a bit of noise from those sitting outside the bars on the square.

Breakfast was reasonable with juice, coffee and a selection of bread, croissants, cereals, fruit, meat and cheese. It normally comes at an 8 Euro supplement. That might seem expensive, but not by Brussels standards.
