Great place to walk around, just take care with your children though as we had two occasions when men tried to lure them away from us...

Great woods area with a lake and lovely trees. Good for those seeking longer distances in the nature.

Being for 7 years in Brussels - I get not tired of the Foret de Soignes. Biking, running, walking - you will not get tired of the paths and you will find always a new way to go. Each season brings its beauty.

The Bois de la Cambre is just a few tram stations away from the bustling end of Avenue Louise and offers a beautiful respite from the city life.

Suddenly, trees engulf the landscape and you know you've entered the Bois. There is a gorgeous hill near the stone bridge. Halfway through the Bois is a large lake where ducks and geese relax in. The experience was a beautiful one for us as we also brought a picnic to enjoy by the lake. The winds were very strong and cold though - useful to note if considering having a picnic in mid-March.

The Bois experience was great, but as we attempted to reach the Foret, things went downhill. As the Foret is not too far a distance from the Bois, we wished that there were clear signages to direct us there. We ended up getting lost, even with help from locals, and were unsure where to loan bicycles :(

In mid-March, the Foret (and Bois) is pretty much barren except for brief patches of green grass. I would visit the Bois but not the Foret if I had prior knowledge...

Fine park for a short walk before or after a visit to brassiere George. Recently undergone some renovation, and much improved several paces for refreshments some only open a the weekend or on sunny days. The Chalet Robinson on an island and visited by boat is worth a trip but can be busy on sunny days.
