We took a group of students to brussels staying at this "hotel" the rooms were dirty and the linen sheets were old and tatty. The food was inedible and the staff were rude and ignorant. The hotel is in an area akin to Beirut and it was not safe to walk about at night.

This youth hostel was very convenient and the employees there were kind. The price (around 20€) scared me at first, but I was obviously wrong!
Ideal place to crash for a night or two. Includes a good breakfast.

I stayed in the hostel for a 5 day trip with work. It is in the Molenbeek area of Brussels and although it isn't extremely easy to find it is straight forward after the first day. Reception are helpful and you get clean sheets and pillowcases on arrival.

The room I stayed in had two bunk beds and 4 wardrobes which could be locked if you were sharing with strangers. The bathroom had two sinks and a shower with seperate toilet. The beds were comfortable so I can not complain :-)

On the ground floor you have recpetion which also sells drinks/ snacks/ forgotten items as well as having a small bar service which is open till late. There is also a lounge area and a big screen (good for the world cup coverage) There are also internet terminals and wireless facility. There is another seating area with a smaller tv and a lovely outside area which stretches around to also be outside the restaurant.
The restaurant serves a nice breakfast. It isnt a large selection but enough to keep you going for the day :-)

Overall its a nice base to discover Brissels or indeed the wide diverse communities that surround the hostel. The centre is in walking distance and will take 15-25 mins dependant on where you wish to go.
The town has a great atmosphere esp in the evenings with a nice bar/ restaurant area full of life.

Overall a lovely place for a relaxed exploration of Brussels
