This B&B lives above a soap shop in a part of Brussels known for it's antique dealers. Sebastian provides a warm welcome and cooks a fantastic breakfast. The B&B is only made up of 4 rooms. The loft room was beautifully renovated in an almost Essaouiran theme of white pine board floors and white walls. The sky lights let in all the light needed and give a bonus view of the city roof tops, churches and castles.
The location is perfect ifyou're arriving into Brussels Midi as it's only a 20 min walk to the B&B and a further 10 to 15 min into the city centre.
Street noise can be an issue but only if you have the sky lights open. This shouldn't be a deterrant as there were festivities on the weekend we were there.
Considering the prices of hotels and the location of the B&B I don't know why anyone would stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: Ask for the loft room.

From the moment you open the door and get the fresh aroma of soap from the shop you know this is going to be different. Our room was superb with Vivian Westwood wallpaper and elegant and subtle lighting. Wonderful bed with crisp fresh linen. Great location just round the corner from Pl des Sablons, with all its restaurants, and ten minutes to the Grande Place. Sebastien could not be more helpful.

Room Tip: There is no lift so if stairs are a problem ask about access

Spent 4 nights at this great B&B in Brussels. Sebastien is fantastic. We re arranged our arrival and departure days a few times. Very accomodating.
Great location. About 10 minute walk from the Brussels Central station, a few minutes from the Grand Sablon area, 10 minutes from the historic center of town. Could not have been more convenient.
For the first few nights we were on the top floor. Very quiet. Multiple skylight windows which opened. Blackout blinds. All brand new. 1800's townhouse all remodelled over 2 years and just recently finished. Great showers.....I wish mine at home were as good!! Great large bed (king size). Breakfast was incredible. We never ordered eggs although they were available. Fantastic breads, preserves, pastry, coffee, fresh OJ, delicious cheese.....
As Sebastien was incredibly helpful. Kept some of our luggage while we went to Bruges for a few days and came back. The last night we stayed on the 3rd floor facing Rue Haute. A bit noisier. But nice room, great shower.
Overall I would definitely go back....location, incredible staff, beautiful rooms all recently remodeled. First floor of the B&B is a soap store which was cool. There are only 4 rooms to rent all with their own bath/shower.

Room Tip: Ask for the most upper floor,,,,,very quiet.

Relatively easy walk from Brussels Midi train station even with luggage -- arrived in the residence - greeted by Sebastian -- the B and B is above a very nice soap store -- check in was a breeze - very helpful - no elevator - our room was on the second floor - friends had the third floor - stairs are fine - no elevator -so if mobility issues you may want to request the second floor - room very nice - a king size bed to boot - very comfortable - - shower only and toilet have their own room - sink in the middle -- shower very good water pressure -- windows open and view of the street - within walking distance of great place and the all good food places/and city centre. Breakfast was very good -- bread/ croissants/ ham/cheese various spreads - even a perfectly made sunny side up egg -- very good place to stay - accepts mastercard -- would definitely stay here again --

Room Tip: lower level - less stairs to climb

This small hotel was a delightful discovery. The old house has been renovated with great care and is a beauty. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was good. Also the breakfast was excellent. The host was most kind and helpful, everything worked. The central location on Rue Haute is practical, everything I needed within a short walk.
