We went to this restaurant on a very busy saturday night, we hadn't booked but the staff found us a table upstairs which was very pleasant. The food was excellent, nothing bad to say at all. Authentic italian fare and a friendly waiter. It would be a waste to just eat a pizza here as some of the dishes are so tasty and well presented. Not too expensive either, hence the popularity. Not a typical tourist haunt.

Those who like Italian food to look and taste as it is served in Italy, should come here. This hospitable neighborhood restaurant, 10 minutes walk the Grand Place, offers excellent choice of antipastas, home-made pastas, secondi piatti, etc. The food tastes great, prices are moderate, the atmosphere is authentic, and the service is as it should be. A place to come back to.

If you want to have a nice decent Italian food, then this is the place. Someone who really like pasta, or osso buco or pizza, just like Italian would make it, go here. But italian as italian is, do not expect that much of friendliness from the staff. Go there, sit where you are seated, decide what you want to eat and when the waiter comes, give him your order. Do not try to make small talk or ask details about the food - they don't have time for this.
Sometimes you are given olives and small freshly made bread (these are nice), but it depends on the mood of the waiter. Otherwise, you need to ask for it.
Our group took different items, pizza, pasta, meat and we are all satisfied. I tried the osso buco, really nice. I like the Dama Blanche with warm chocolate sauce. My friend took the sabayon and it's nice too if you like dessert with alcohol. I would go here again to get the nice Italian food.

We were my friend and I one Saturday evening, the hotel we were advised us, I would have preferred to eat in Burger King. Terrible reception, it was necessary to eat in fifteen minutes and to release the table, the bill was incorrect, the pizza was flaring! The lady in room does not understand anything the whole, only the framework was beautiful.

Rugantino is an institution. If you go there it's for the budget and the atmosphere of this old italian restaurant in the city center... Food is average. One serious advise, check the bill before you pay.
