We chose this apartment because the pictures looked really good and because it seemed (on a map) to be close to the main attractions of Brussels. We were not disappointed. Not only is the apartment as stylish and comfortable as it looks in those photos but it had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
The location is actually even closer to the Grand Place and other sites than it seemed on the map. The Marche aux Herbes is about 50 metres down Rue de la Montagne and the Grand Place is about 150 metres away. The Centraal station is around the corner, which was handy both for the train to the airport and for day trips. We went to Antwerp and Waterloo from there, with ease. The Galeries Royale are literally around the corner. There were plenty of shops for essentials near by, as well as cafes and bars.
The apartment itself has two double bedrooms with queen sized beds and a sofa bed in the lounge room. There are two bathrooms. Dealing with Charles Home, the agent, was easy and helpful.
We were there in mid summer and though it wasn't really hot, the apartment could do with air conditioning. (I don't know if that would be possible in such an historic building). Having the windows open at night meant a lot of street noise, especially Friday and Saturday nights. Other than that small issue, we couldn't fault the apartment.
