I have been to this restaurant at least 10 times now, I visit it when I am in Charleroi on business. If you have ever been in Charleroi you will know that it is not the greatest place to visit, however step into this small friendly restaurant and you will have a great time. The waiters, Fabion, Eve and Gille smartly dressed in suits take great care of you, the chef Mr Franz wanders in and out of the open kitchen chatting to customers, Speaking and reading very little French I struggle in this region of Belgium as it does not cater for English visitors, but chef Franz speaks English and every time comes and explains the specials menu to us personally. In great detail he explains what is in each dish and how he cooks it, you mouth is watering and you struggle to decide what to eat from the scallops in cream and leaks sauce, to the homemade foie gras, for starters, or the choice of flambe steaks, huge T bones for 2, lamb cutlets or my favourite, duck breast in a 3 pepper cream sauce, flambe in front of you. Everything that comes out if the kitchen is first class. The atmosphere is very informal and people wander in at all times of the evening, I have left at midnight and the place is full. Apparent they normally close at 2am! An all round great experience every time.
