Reasonable hotel in center of Liege. Used for base to get to motor race at Spa so only had B&B. Thought hotel okay but nothing special and a bit dated in places. Only real problem was the temperature, as others have mentioned the hotel is a little bit too cosy and seems to have a very poor heat regulation, a bit too warm for me and alot of others who were staying at the same time. There's no air con, or it was not working, which is a bit of an oversite given the cost of the rooms as a result I would make sure you get a room with windows that open although that may mean a smoking room. There are desk fans in the rooms but they are no substitute for aircon. Breakfast options were good although the breakfast room itself is a little cramped. Breakfast options are the usual continental ones so there's always something but again nothing special.
Liege itself is charming in places but run down in others. There's plenty of bars and restaurants and lots of shops. There's a supermarket in the shopping mall lower level opposite the hotel and a few of minimarkets all within a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotels location is probably its best asset, the friendly and efficient staff are deserving of credit also.

This hotel was simply the worst I have experienced...we attended during the Belgium grand prix and of course all prices were trebled. The rooms were tiny, and the windows do not open. Therefore the room became like an oven, so sleep is impossible. We ended up leaving our room door open overnight with furniture stacked up both sides to stop people getting in but trying to get some air. There is no aircon in this hotel except in the reception area!
No other rooms were available and basically the staff really don't care.
There is no bar or restaurant.
Its is an overpriced BAD hotel....we almost slept in our car as it would have been more comfortable...AVOID THIS HOTEL....

Having paid in full for 3 rooms, 9 months in advance, our greeting on arrival was that we owed a further 450 euros because it was Belgian GP weekend. It was not the fault of the hotel but we could not access the car park on Sunday because local roads were closed.

A basic ibis room - comfy bed, good sized room, decent bathroom etc. I was on the 6th floor and both the room and corridor outside seemed far too hot - maybe the aircon wasn't working in that section but there was no way to control the temperature in the room and the windows don't open. Despite the double glazing it's quite noisy at the front of the hotel. Didn't sleep very well.

Breakfast was extra at 14 euros per person - just adequate but not worth it; definitely some better local alternatives in cafes nearby.

Staff were friendly, although a bit chaotic - took an age to check in and they 'lost' our reservation made through booking.com at one stage.

Room Tip: Check whether aircon is working. Rooms at the front seemed noisy.

We recently visited Liege on a coach trip. The hotel we used was the Ibis. It was right in the centre of the town close to the Opera House, The shopping and the sights were just a short stroll away. We found the Hotel had recently been refurbished and it was very clean and smart. There was an efficient lift system to the 6th floor where our room was situated. We had a room overlooking the Oper Square and despite the traffic it was quiet. The room was neat and clean with en-suite including a bath.

Breakfast was served in the basement and the room was big enough to take our coach load! It was a full continental self service breakfast with something for everybody. Other meals can be taken in the numerous 'pavement' establishments - bistro's etc as long as the weather is good!

The staff were all very helpful and helped to make our stay very pleasant. The room rate for the period of our stay was 60 euros for the room and breakfast. We both thought it was quite reasonable as it was close to the weekend. There is plenty of car parking in the vicinity of the Hotel - most of it is underground and the hotel has a reduced rate for it's customers.

Should we go back to Liege we would use this Hotel again.
