After wondering around to look for the best restaurant, we chose Le aregina because it seemed like cozy place to eat. We served immediately by a very friendly young lady, and a small plate of bread and olives were put on our table. Because we didnt speak French, she tried to speak in English which we really appreciated. My husband chose their mix grill but was a bit dissappointed because the meats were a bit dry and also the people around us ordered these huge meatballs that look very yummie and made us a bit jealous. But when I went to the toilet, I saw this thing like *feces* on the wall. It was very disgusting, and their dry towel was really wet. But in general was a very nice restaurant.

Excellent location in downtown Liege near theatre, forum and all the cultural and shopping activities (check out the decoration shop next door on Rue Pont d'Avroy!), this brasserie has everything typical, from its decoration to its food.
The food is actually a great mixed of local, Belgian and international food but really when you try local you don't want to go international because it is just yummy! Try out the Boulets de Liege. They don't steal your money, quantity is huge! Don't get a starter if you go for local specialty, or starve yourself the whole day because your plate will be full! Their home made chips are perfect and that comes from someone who doesn't even like chips!
Service also is good: quick, warm, friendly.
And finally cost wise, excellent value for money: 1 starter, 3 large main coming with chips and vegetables, 1 desert, 1 coffee, 5 soft drinks for 62€! Never seen as good value for money for the taste!
A pleasant discovery just before going to the theatre... We will come back!

PS: we had a 12 year old with us who loved is as much as we did!
