We stayed for one night in July 2013, arriving during the 10-day festival which is held every year in Ghent. We had no idea about the festival and had a little trouble getting to the hotel because some of the streets were closed in the centre, but once there we were made very welcome by the reception staff. Our room was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with all the street entertainers and bands etc., but were kept awake later as our room overlooked the main street. This was our first visit to Ghent and we would certainly like to go back again.

Wonderful location and a great breakfast buffet makes this hotel ideal for a trip to Ghent!
Avoid room 201 next to the staff entrance/staircase .. it is not the most quiet room in the hotel.
Otherwise highly recommended!

This hotel is well worth the money. We stayed for three nights and were not disappointed. It is very central to Ghent and within walking distance of bars, restaurants and places of interest. Room was spacious, clean and had a really comfy bed and pillows! Reception staff and bar staff are friendly and helpful.
The first night was very noisy as we did not realise the window was open and we were on the front of the hotel. However after that when the window was closed and the air conditioning was on, it was fine. Breakfast was excellent - great choice of just about anything you could want: fruit, pastries, bread, meats, cheeses, cereal, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, pancakes, waffles......
Only fault really was the carpet leading into the restaurant is quite dirty and stained - could do with a clean or replacement. Definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Think we were lucky and got an upgrade on the room - ask for a corner room!

This hotel is location at one of the most strategic location in Ghent. Exactly at the city center, a few steps away are all the attractions of Ghent which you can find. Breakfast was really excellent, plenty choices made of the most healthy choices.

Room wise, I stayed in one of their executive rooms which was a pleasant to me. Clean and spacious for me. What I didnt like was their internet, but again was the big issue with the entire NH hotel chain. 256kbps capped with 100mb, oh come on. NH hotel you could do it much better way!

Staff were friendly and this hotel is inexpensive. I have no complaint and would definitely come back again.

Very nice hotel in a top location. Unfortunately it lacks a lot of maintenance. Tiles were coming off the wall in the bathroom, the mirror was wrongly installed, there are scuff marks all over the room and corridors, carpet shows old stains all in all a bit outdated. The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable, the bed was big and gave me an excellent sleep. The hotel and room has everything you need for a lovely stay and is perfect for a weekend getaway. The staff are ok, nothing to shout about especially if they loose oversight of who came first to them (out of two people).
