We were impressed. The rooms are great quality and I also judge a lot by bathrooms and they were new and modern. It is real close to downtown Gent and we just loved it. There is an indoor public parking right behind the hotel (also very very good and I think about 10 euro per day) so we just didn't miss anything. Great city, hotel close to center, great beds, great service, great bathrooms, parking available and price was not too steep at all.

Room Tip: We reserved a "deluxe" which was good room, but level with pavement and we would be just t...

This place is stunning, and worth every penny!

It's a rennovated mansion, and it's something special. HUGE rooms.
We never ate at the hotel, so can't comment there. Beds were very comfortable, and well maintained.

Couple small things. There was someone who was smoking on the balcony, previous guest, I mentioned to the cleaning staff, and they never cleaned them up...but it wasn't really a problem.
Our bathroom didn't have a tub, only an amazing shower...I would have liked to take a bath, and then relax in my robe.

Really good if you want somewhere to be left on your own. Room service menue little short but quick. Good size apartments in centre of Ghent near all attractions. Better deals if you book for 14 nights minimum (you get aroung a 35% discount) All in all really happy and restaraunt "Lof" great too in hotel.

Room Tip: Definately upgrade to an executive apartment. Really do it. The regular ones are too small and kitck...

We booked 5 rooms through Expedia for one night in this recently renewed hotel. Allthough some rooms were difficult to find (the hotel inside looks somewhat like a maze...), they were well decorated and well-airconditioned. Good beds too. We did not have breakfast in the hotel, there are many cafes in Ghent where you can get breakfast for half the amount. Overall this was the nicest hotel in our three night trip through the Belgian cities.

Just returned from a 4 day break here. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Excellent location, only 4 minutes walk to the historic centre, bars, cafes and restaurants. At £90 a night for a deluxe room (excluding breakfast) you get a luxury hotel. Nice terrace serving cocktails and breakfast on sunny days. Excellent food in the restaurant, although slightly pricey, you get what you pay for. Fantastic range of cocktails if that's what rocks your boat. Small swimming pool to cool off, gym and excellent sauna and steam room. Service is superb with all staff on the ball and very friendly. Will definately stay here again if visiting Gent and will recommend to friends.

Good location a short walk from the main squares of Gent where there is building work taking place and where it is very busy. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Good underground car parking, worth paying for. Lovely outside area. Decoration modern and dramatic. Great shower and enormous bed. Wonderful choice of food at breakfast. Try Le Duc restaurant opposite for dinner - exceptionally good food.

Room Tip: For a longer stay one of the rooms with a balcony might be good.

Reylof is an impressive and old building (probably a concatenation of buildings), but completely accommodated to the standards of this time. The hotel has a sauna/wellness bath and has its own parking at 15 euro a night, a large entrance hall where you will find the reception, several sitting rooms, a bar, a large restaurant and a large garden. Wifi is for free. It is located in a quiet street in the centre of Gent. All the sights, shops, restaurants, etc. are in walking distance. The tram from the train station stops 2 blocks away.
Check in/check out went very smoothly and staff in all areas of the hotel is very kind and helpful.
Our room, 402, is rather large but too small for the large double bed with excellent mattresses. The room has a large LCD-TV, 2 arm chairs, a large linen cupboard with safe and mini-bar. The room is mainly decorated in black and white. Bathroom is rather small, but has a separate toilet. There is a large shower cabin with an excellent working shower (no bath tube). Our room (with soundproofed windows) was very quiet with a view on the garden. Room and bathroom are impeccable clean.
The warm and cold breakfast was really great: abundant and from a high quality. At least eight kinds of bread, several kinds of cereals, yoghourt, meat and cheese products, fruit, drinks, etc. We once had dinner: quality is good, price rather high and quantity hardly sufficient.
All in all, at a price of about 100 euro a night including breakfast the hotel is very recommendable.
Tip: Gent is a marvellous city. If you wish to see as it is, avoid this place during Gent Jazz and during Gentse Feesten. The city is then ‘defiled’ with temporary gantries.
